Man, what a sad day for the league losing a guy like Bergeron. I think the NHL at it's best has stars like him. Talented, well spoken, great leader, and giving towards community. It is not a sexy personality that takes up space in social media but a respectable one that is admired by those who share the rink through play or fandom. Was a joy to be a fan during his time and watching his many achievements. Good on him to quit while on top.

The only good thing about this news is now I don't have anything coercing me to cheer for Boston.

Best defensive center since Carbonneau and one of the best 200' players in history. And you're right, in this day and age, we could use a few more of the "excellence of execution" players who draw fans with their high standard of play and generally unassuming sense of decency.

Joaquin Phoenix is tremendous in The Joker movie. Dude is great in every movie... Rivers brother.

Phoenix is also in Arizona

I wonder if they would be interested in 55 and a rhd

In division but still.

Yes by postal code ( check their practice address out )
If it were the WCB doctors nobody would be pulling this shit and getting away with it.
The difference between NHL LTIR and WCB is there are no partial or lighter duties or retraining programs for other jobs for high performance athletes. Tons of people can no longer physically do their previous job. WCB just makes you do another job instead. Maybe the NHL should make LTIR players take on a different job in the organization. Your back doesn’t allow you to play hockey well we do need a new stick boy.

My post is hyperbole.
My point really is doctors can essentially be hired to do whatever the client wants or desires.
Yes there is a code of ethics but opinions differ between doctors all the time.
Think of prosecutors and defence attorneys hiring expert witnesses to get a jury to see it their way.

Maybe a video appears of Murray roofing his house or something while on injury reserve . The Hot stove would love that!

Yes, great movie. I figure the famous quote from the end of the movie can be slightly reframed and applied to Mr. Bettman when it comes to Murray’s LTIR:

“How about another joke, Gary? What do you get when you allow two different teams to “win” the Cup while blatantly circumventing the salary cap by exploiting the league’s shoddy LTIR rules? I’ll tell you what you get, you get what you f***ing deserve!”

Sorry man, just can't imagine a situation where Bettman is in a room and he's not the biggest villain.

Much as it pains me to say, the Leafs might as well do it. They're likely the only Canadian franchise that would get away with the "over the cap" shenanigans that Tampa and Vegas employed. The loophole won't be closed until an undesirable attempts to pull it off.

What TO is missing is that they did it with Kuch and Stone... not circumventing the cap to bring in Domi and Reaves...
