Yeah it was shaky to start the year but they've been playing well for most of the season.
yeah and they still seem to rate out above average defensively despite their broken D group. i definitely did not see this level of play, even though small # of gp so far, coming from Murray.

Have to give the Leafs credit ... their goaltending and defence 3rd (GAA) in the league has them winning despite their offence being 19th (GFA).

I'll definitely give the Leafs credit for dumping two massive disasterpieces in net (Mrazek and Campbell). If nothing else, Dubas seems to be immune to the seduction of short term variance in goaltending.

Is it luck or skill on the part of Dubas? I don't think anyone saw Murray playing this well ... but on the other hand, injuries have been his main problem, he's already been out with one injury, so we'll have to see how long he lasts.

Samsonov, reclamation project, could have gone either way it seems to me. So I'm tending towards things have worked out well, but looks more like good luck than good planning.

Tage Thompson is f***ing ridiculous

We picked the wrong 6'7" player that year...

Logan Stanley was selected 18th, while St. Louis picked Tage at 26th.

Sure Hindsights 20/20, and Jets needed a D, but picking Stanley never made sense to me.

Tage Thompson evidently. The best 6'7 player of the 2016 draft. :naughty:
Beat me to it lol
