Dubas wanted a raise from the Leafs but he is going to come here for 50% of what he was making?
Stress bonus working for Toronto.

Is the 7M a reported number? Is Shanny's salary on record? No reason to believe that the Jets won't pay market value for a GM. Yes he won't get the 7 million he was demanding in Toronto ( which was even more than their Director of Hockey Ops Shanny got) but they'll give him NHL market value.
And let's be honest. If you work in an NHL front office is there a job in the league better than here? Lower stress than most other markets let alone Toronto, easy media for the most part, an amount of job security that is unheard of in the league. Even southern US markets where hockey is an afterthough fire more of their front office folks than the Jets.
It's amazing a guy can ask for 7M when he has a track record on par with what the average HFBoards member could do.Is the 7M a reported number? Is Shanny's salary on record?
I can just imagine him telling the family that they're all moving to Winnipeg...No reason to believe that the Jets won't pay market value for a GM. They realized Dubas was in over his head and that's exactly what MLSE wanted. Seems a bit disfunctional.Mirtle: With Kyle Dubas gone, prepare for more Maple Leafs front-office fallout
The Maple Leafs' parting ways with Kyle Dubas is likely the beginning of front-office upheaval with the team.theathletic.com
so apparently shanahan blocked many trades that dubas wanted to do and also directed moves that dubas didn't want to make...
So by that logic, you can knock over a goalie and so long as you get out of the crease before the puck goes in the net it's a good goal?and left on his own before the goal was scored
