He went from 1.6 defensive GAR on the Rangers (obviously very good) to -0.3 with Vancouver.

More alarming, he went from 0 offensive GAR on the Rangers (replacement level, feels about right) to -2.2 already with Vancouver.

He's up there with some of the biggest offensive black holes in the league.
Is it too late to credit Gallant with his best offensive and defensive stats?

I just disagree. I’ve never seen a top ten pick “developed” like him.

Yes, his decision to not play in the A was all on him. But it’s almost as though the org considered him dispensable once they got Kakko, and then Laf.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong with him.

They tried everything they could to help him.

They designed a strength program speficially for him, he flat out refused to do it.

They let him go home and play even though it’s become abundantly clear that it was a mistake and he would have been better served learning in the A.

He bolted to go home rather than take a conditioning assignment last season which would have lasted all of a week.

This year, with a clear shot to make the team, he had the balls to come in UNDER WEIGHT.

They gave him multiple chances and he spat in their faces at each turn. He is a clown and it’s no surprise that he’s showing to be a complete dud somewhere else.

He got a second and a third chance here. Drury shouldn’t have ripped him after he decided to leave the first time, but he is at fault for being what he is now.

I have more respect for being overweight. If you're gonna f*** around, at least eat donuts. That's understandable. Shoutout to Brendan Smith.

Is all of that confirmed?

Thank you. He is just a big fat zero and obviously should never have been picked top 10. Total bust and not the Rangers fault except for drafting him of course.

Seems to be an objective summary, from what's been written here over the time of his struggles. Unfortunately.

Debbie’s get destroyed by Winnipeg the other night and not a peep from HFNYRangers. Never change.
We have class. But yeah, let's keep that and smile behind OUR board.

Hard to believe the Rangers are tied with Dallas in Goal differential at +54.
You know who is lightyears above every other team. We've come a long way, but it's funny. I don't even feel we had a "good year", Shesty has been "less than" most of the year.........and yet still, here we are.

Who we rooting for tonight in the Devils/Pens game? Think I gotta go Pens because Home ice would be ideal, but regardless I hope the desperate Pens leave a few bruises and softens them up for us.

For whatever reason I’m not too excited about the prospect of the Penguins missing the playoffs. Maybe it’s because that’s gonna make me feel really old.

I’d much prefer that the Islanders somehow fall out. And for us to have home ice of course.

Crosby/Pens missing the playoffs wouldn't feel right, plus who the hell wants to watch the Islanders play more hockey?

Ink is dry for the Pens, forgot to keep the Caps on. Both of them not making the playoffs in the same year would be crossing a line I never thought would come.

Caps made the right decision selling, nice the Pens didn’t do the same.
they should have done that in the offseason instead of inking all three big vets. Maybe keep Crosby to have him retire a Penguin.
