Devils are wiping the floor with the Jackets. Meanwhile we lost to them 5-1 :help:

Brooksie latest article talks about the shitty NHL scheduling. There's no more rivals. ( in our case, against the Islanders it might be a good thing. I hate watching those games )

But we play our division less than anyone else..... which is dumb. If we're going to have Divisions, the best teams need to be fleshed out from that Division. Otherwise go back to the old way

bro, good. After the 2021 season I've had my lifetime fill of watching the Rangers play the Islanders, Penguins, etc.

I haven't watched the Devils yet

Did they change their approach?

Sorry if this was mentioned before, but with Seattle being the 32nd team in the NHL, will we be seeing divisions similar to the NFL?

8 Divisions
2 Conferences

The Devils are good. They need a goalie and a top 4D. I hate the fact that I also like all of their players these days.

Same here. I don't mind playing more west coast teams and not seeing Crosby 8 times a year.

Devils have some talent but aside from the Avs, their schedule has been pretty kind. Having said that, they are beating some bad teams that the Rangers lost to so it's whatever.

Hope they lose Bratt, but Luke Hughes has some big upside. Teams gonna be a problem pretty soon.

I hope the Devils aren't suddenly good. They still have Nemec and Hughes in the pipeline.

Yeah I wonder what we can do to keep up with the infusion of young talent other teams in our division will have soon.

Schneider might not be Luke Hughes or Simon Nemec but hes good too and Jones as well. Devils dont have many more forwards coming besides this Russian kid in Gritsyuk who will probably just be another Kravtsov while the Rangers have Othmann around the corner.

Kakko and Lafreniere just need to produxe more - its as simple as that

True. Its just upsetting seeing them outshoot teams so much while we are better than last season in that but not as good as them.

Devils wont be a real issue until Ruff is swapped with Brunette and Hughes/Nemec are a year into their NHL careers

Rangers can contend now, Devils are still two years away. And thats if they ever find a goalie

Jack Hughes had a huge game and Devils is actually better this season.

Leafs gifted a point with the go ahead goal for Anaheim getting wrongly called back, but Zegras ends it in OT.

Could be worse in Rangerland.

Back on the east coast
theyre not even selling out that silly barn. amazing.
That's the larger issue that ESPN & the NHL doesn't want to talk about. There's just very little interest in hockey in that area. They average 11,000 viewers for local game night broadcasts in a city with over 5 million people.

They have some very loyal fans, but not nearly enough. I feel bad saying it, cause I really like most of the posters in the Yotes forum, but Arizona just isn't a hockey market.

Devils look good right now for sure but I think the easy schedule combined with their fast style of play is the reason they are rolling as of now. It will bite them in the long run.
