I’ve been frustrated with Kakko a lot the past few years but idk he just looks different now. Whereas Laf still looks like a timid rookie, Kakko looks like a vet. I don’t think he’ll ever be a big producer but I like how’s he’s playing so far, if Zib and Kreider get their breads out of their asses he’s gonna be fine. I’d actually like to see him with Panarin and on the PP but that won’t happen with this coach.
I've said for well over a year kakko looks like he will be nuchushkin and may have the same type of incredibly slow progression.

Laffy just seems like a guy who is unsure what kind of player the org wants him to be at this level. And he's such a spirit that wants to goof and fit in that I wonder if he's so tied in knots bc he's trying to be what others tell him to be instead of just being who he is as a player.

People talk about kakko's confidence all the time but I actually think kakko has arrogance and laffy is the one affected more with confidence or lack there of

The Rempire State
Arizona's arena actually looks amazing, it would be so fun to be in that intimate of a setting for an NHL game
Only lame Canadians in that broke country complain about Daddy Bettman propping up this marvellous organization

I'm flying out to California in February. I plan to take a detour while I'm out there to catch a game. They'll never be anything like this again...not in my lifetime anyway. Everyone should try to make it out there once.

Did anyone hear Feschuk today on Overdrive talking about how analytics don't apply to hockey the same way they do basketball and how while basketball had the 3 pt revolution that sort of thing will never happen in hockey. Like, hello Richie, have you heard of the royal road revolution? It's not coming, it's already here.

I hope Otmann ends our forward drought. Sick of teams getting guys like Johnston, Jarvis, Mercer, Stankoven with late firsts. and seconds

Pasta and Boston seem to be a problem... just got Marchand back. Still waiting on McAvoy

Maybe everyone was miserable with what's his face

Brooksie latest article talks about the shitty NHL scheduling. There's no more rivals. ( in our case, against the Islanders it might be a good thing. I hate watching those games )

But we play our division less than anyone else..... which is dumb. If we're going to have Divisions, the best teams need to be fleshed out from that Division. Otherwise go back to the old way

Twelve of the 16 playoff spots are awarded by division standings, yet teams play a touch under 32-percent of the schedule within the division. Teams play more games against non-conference opponents than they do against division rivals … well, not really rivals, but instead, foes.

Thirty-two games against the other conference, 26 within the division. That translates to 16 at home against the other conference and 13 against division opponents. Thirteen out of 41! The National Hockey League is taking itself a bit too literally. It has turned itself into the Generic Hockey League

I couldn't believe that the other night when they mentioned we only visit Long Island once this season. When you think it's impossible, this league just keeps finding new lows. What a clown show.
