As it stands, according to SportsClubStats, the Kings have a 91% chance to make the playoffs, Edmonton has a 78% chance, and Vegas has a 30% chance. Each loss compounds significantly too.

yes vegas is currently cap compliant. they would have gained $5M plus Kessler's hit in LTIR to bring back stone and martinez

1) he could not play regular season games
2) doubt he would waive for LA and not Anaheim as it is believed to be a tax thing. Which is odd as the deal was signed in Ottawa.

I think you've to bring them back by CBA and Vegas goes over the cap.
