Was just looking at the fact Columbus has the hawks first round and the conditions on that pick. If the hawks when the lottery with a top 2 pick this year the pick then defaults to a 2023 first.
If I am blue Jackets fan I think I am hoping Chicago win the lottery this year and Columbus gets the 2023. Very deep draft year and the hawks will be shit for a bit.

Vegas is looking pretty rough against Chicago. It reminds me of our game with the Hawks in terms of it being back and forth, but Vegas can’t finish.

Kind of feel like Vegas needs to miraculously win this game or you can really start to say it isn’t happening this year for them.

Even if you say all the teams they are chasing went .500 in their games in hand (very conservative estimate) they would be

7 points behind the Kings
6 points behind the Oilers

7 points behind the Preds
6 points behind the Stars

Only 28 possible points remaining. They probably would have to go 11-2-1 to make the playoffs.

For anyone who has been a fan of this team since the Gretzky years or longer it looks like it will be a nostalgic return to a playoff battle with the Oilers for the first time in 30 years.

**** I even did the “if they don’t win” to prevent the jinx. Even though it felt like it was over.

But once they got the 2nd goal you knew it was bad news.

But this was their season here over these final 20 minutes, you knew they were going to leave it all out there but you expect an NHL team to not collapse so quickly. Still will probably be to little to late but if they win the Kings have to keep pace and beat a bad Kraken team tonight and Monday.

Two teams that aren’t very good.

Vegas is basically the 2015 Kings minus the championships. People just keep waiting and waiting and “no one wants to see them in the playoffs” but it’s just not really happening. They are like the current Kings young forwards, they are talented but it’s a struggle to piece together a string of good games. The main boards will now call this a “turning point game” like Nashville was for said young forwards but I’m not buying it.

Still sucks they won because a loss would have basically KO’ed them from catching the Kings barring an epic collapse by us.
