Why isn't he playing now?
So if there's no room for him, what's the issue with making him trade bait for someone that can slot in somewhere? You can only crush the minutes you're given?

No one wants the cast offs. If you want a real piece in a much more vacant position you need to offer something. Vilardi can be that something. We can't keep ALL the prospects especially when we overdrafted centers. Why is there no room for him?
Are we somehow that committed to a rotating cadre of mediocrity in AA/Brown/etc. that we can't get him a shot before we turf him in favor of outgoing vets?

How many "potential is this prospect's best skill" do we need on this team?I'm sorry but 'were trading vilardi because we can't find room for him with AA/Brown/Kupari/Grundstrom/Andersson/etc.' would be a fireable offense. Awful asset management.
I get trading value for value but we don't even know what holes we have until the prospects start hitting or missing and they can't do either with the middle of the lineup clogged up with cat hair.
happy for carts, he really did look like he was done here, maybe that's turned out to be more of a commentary on us than himJeff Carter signs two year extension with the Penguins, $3.125 M AAV. Full no move clause in both years. Would have been UFA after the season. Been a good fit in Pittsburgh.

if anyone watched the sens-sabres game, dell checked a guy in the trapezoid and took him out of the game
every single opportunity to lay body, both teams are doing it and hard.. what a stark difference from a kings game man..
Total chicken shit move. That's the kinda thing you'd expect
Mike Smith to do because you just scored on him. He gonna get 5 games for the injury to the player..
I think hed do well here and the Kings need someone that can put the puck in the net. Headcases are ok and can be coachable as long as he isnt totally destructive outside the rink like Kane.I'm still a no on Laine. Too selfish and too much a head case.

turns out he got a whopping 3Should get a further five just because the league preaches don't touch the goalie then he turns around and pulls that garbage.
Seriously. Everyone says we need a scoring winger when we have someone who is projected to be that who hasn't been given a chance to do the thing we drafted him for.I like Laine more than most but I think he's prohibitively expensive--in assets AND cash--for the risk, especially when we have a cheap in house diet version in Kaliyev that we still have to give a real shot to.
turns out he got a whopping 3
after getting shelled like that, no way he was starting next game so it might as well have been a 0 or 1 gamer
not gonna sit here and act surprised since he's a first timer and all well, it's the DoPS, but i'm not very impressed if i'm batherson
