Pathetic, pathetic joke. At this point I’m convinced the league would allow them to play in a parking lot in a public park.

It's an embarrasment to the NHL. 5000 seats? Half will be full if they're lucky. Horrible mismanagment.
Bettman is a miserable old dog with a bone. His ego won't allow him to admit this mistake in the desert. Coyotes have struggled in attendance and lost money as long as they've been there.
There are much better, more viable options.
I guess the board of governors can't influence him, but somebody should.
Totally pathetic.

I think Freege said the arena would have to do some infrastructure updates to make it suitable for NHL games and the seating capacity could drop down to 3200 seats. This team is an embarrassment to the league. They’re gonna play at an arena with 3200-5000 seats for 3-4 years? Unbelievable.

The Yotes should work a deal with the University of Phoenix “campus”instead of ASU. They could be the first pro team that plays in a local ice rink with no seats and sells online season “tickets” to games.

And they have to raise ticket prices 4x the normal amount to compensate.

So $4 a ticket now?

I'm certainly not looking to defend Bettman here, but how do we know it's Bettman's ego and not that of the owners themselves? End of the day he takes orders from them, if they wanted to pull the plug they could. Bettman may be advising them to keep the Yotes there, but it's their decision at the end. There's something about that market that has people with influence wanting to stay at all costs.

Given the subsidies the other teams are paying to keep Arizona afloat, I'd be hard pressed to believe the owners are clamoring to keep it.
