None of these cities should be paying anything for a new arena. Do what LA did with the NFL.
Maybe the professional leagues should commit to spending on one new stadium project a year for each of the teams. Let the owners pay for it. Every team gets a new stadium roughly every 30 years.
I agree but here in Calgary the city spent more money on a state of the art library than they would have for the original Calgary Next project (that would have come with new field house, rink and as a bonus creosote cleanup). I know which building I am more likely to go into, and only one of those businesses generates revenue and taxes. One creates more jobs than the other. Yet no public outcry over the library. Cannot have it both ways IMO (and that is not targeted at you)
