The Ducks are having the season many around here expected the Kings to have. The Ducks are relying on their youth and putting them in roles to succeed, whereas the Kings continue to rely on the same old dogs to do their old tricks.

In all fairness, our top prospect got hurt, so who knows what he'd be doing right now, and the kind of ripple effect it have throughout the team [see Zegras]. Maybe TM puts Byfield at 3rd center, then moves Valardi to wing and bingo, instant success. Also, the King top 6 was completely set, where the ducks had probably 3 or maybe 4 guys penciled in. There were openings to be taken, and they took them, where our guys weren't up to it yet.

Also, the amount of scoring from the backend is staggering when you look at the stats. Before Durzi came up, we had 4 goals from our dmen [3 from doughty], where the ducks had 20. Think about how many more wins we'd have with 16 more goals from our backend. So it's not just about their kids being good.

I didn't think they would be playing the panthers. Seems like the league is more apprehensive about postponing East vs West games so who the heck knows what they will do at this point

Is Leah Hextall really the top of this field? I'm finding her and this ducks/yotes broadcast really difficult to listen to. She makes Fausty sound like Vin Scully.
