Just waive him, because that gets rid of the cap hit. Even if they did send him down, its still not enough to get under the cap by itself.

This is an interesting contrast to what Hoven was saying:
I think Kings brass has it backwards though. The reverse retro jerseys weren't great because of the logo, but because of the colors. You could put any Kings logo (besides the current home plate) on those reverse retro jerseys and they would look great.

I have a hard time understanding who they're asking and what they're asking, frankly.
I don't think anyone dislikes black/white/silver, but even if not a full return to the royal purple/gold, I don't understand why anyone could want another greyscale jersey. Why make it so f***ing hard to buy purple/gold jerseys? Of course they aren't a hit when you don't make them available, that was some of the worst marketing I've ever seen, it's like they intentionally submarined themselves and only used them because they had to or something. I actually have an easier time finding the Burger King jersey than the purple/gold retros.
And the constant condescension about it is really f***ing stupid, honestly. It's like 'no, you don't want that, we know what you want.'

This is one of the few areas where I think the front office is out of touch. I don't want to differentiate from the Lakers or the Rams, I want those to be our colors. And the black/white/silver uniqueness is bullshit anyway because the Raiders were in LA when they made the switch. I'm even fine with having black and white be our primary home and away sweaters, but have our thirds be purple and gold and wear them like 25% of the time at home! Is ten games a season too much to ask?
I've said it a million times, but something like this would be ideal for our primaries (and use any logo on them... it does not matter):

I definitely prefer this design over the current piping. The logo is obviously better. Need to get a crown back on the jerseys.

these are so much better than the current set. Just getting rid of the shoulder piping cleans the jersey up so much, but this also improves the logo and the white hem is a nice add
I do not like any of the crown logos...67-88 or 2000s. I prefer the home plate, Chevy bowtie, and the shield/lion logos (Ziggy era) more. The mid 80s blue/gold and the reverse retro are better than the original jersey. Keep black/silver and add blue/gold 3rd jersey.

They attempted to sell those jerseys? I never saw them available.

The reality is that the Kings won Cups in those jerseys and upper management doesn't want to move to something new while the memories of those championships are still fresh. I don't believe any of the focus group crap they're spitting out and I work for one of the largest measurement research companies on the planet. You can make any result work in your favor of the position you want.

Didn’t care for the reverse retro, mixing colors and logos from different eras was sacrilege to me. Same with the Wild/North Stars ones (that and the colors were horrible).
Chevy logo by a mile for me. Pretty sad our minor league team has better uniforms…

The Wild and Kings had the best two in the league IMO.
I thought the worse was the Avalanche. Team is not the nordiques. Imagine if the Coyotes wore Jets jerseys.

The funny thing is I got one of them. They sold out lightning quick too. So like I guess people didn't want them lol.
As a person with some graphic design training , I find the crown to be a totally naff logo, so static, no motion or style to it whatsoever. There's' no tie in with the rest of the uniform, it just floats there.
The purple and gold reminds me of cheap 70's sofa fabric and who in their right mind would go out dressed those colors unless you're a party clown? Maybe they should get Darryl Evans' tailor to design the next set of uni's.

They released those jerseys and a whole line of items with those colors last December....I got a hoodie for xmas. Were you guys hibernating?
I checked and saw nothing unless they released it on a secret website I don't know about. lol
