Canadiens fans visiting Staples Center are among the rudest visiting fans in my experience. Right up there with Vegas Knights fans. So I find this all hilarious.

I remember a game sometime in the late 1990's where it was the Kings playing at Montreal. Well, when our anthem was played, there was very audible booing from the stands. It wasn't just 2-3 people, but 200-300 people. Totally classless.

Wanna make it worse?

I then related this story to a person I used to work with and the guy standing next to him was like "yes, but you have to remember those are hockey fans". There's different levels of classlessness no matter where you look..... or even when you're not looking!!!

NHL's new COVID-19 protocols include mechanism for suspending unvaccinated players

there are exceptions for religion, medical and other stuff, but for the most part-

The biggest news is a mechanism for teams to suspend unvaccinated players who are “unable to participate in club activities.” This includes situations where a player cannot travel because of local, provincial/state and/or federal regulations “upon return.” Such individuals would “forfeit the equivalent of one day’s pay for each day” they are precluded from participating.

=fully vaccinated players get tested every 72 hrs, unvaccinated players get tested daily

There are stiff rules for unvaccinated players. On the road, they cannot enter “internal venues” other than the team hotel, practice facility, or game arena. They are not allowed to use the hotel gym, pool, sauna, steam room or other shared facilities. They are not allowed to have teammates, team staff or visitors inside their hotel room, with the exception of fully-vaccinated family. They are not allowed to leave the hotel to eat (or purchase food) or use any restaurants/bars (in or out of the hotel) that are open to the public. They can’t pick up food except where the restaurant provides curbside pickup (or similar service) that does not require entrance to the main restaurant.

What a Joke.

pumped for Dewey to make team Canada and shove it up Dom's asshole

As much as I'd like Drew to make it, is actually looking like this roster will be tough for him to crack...on the right side, can you really take him over Makar, Pietrangelo, Hamilton, or Chychrun?

A few days ago on a podcast, Bo Horvat said that Drew was the toughest matchup in the league in his opinion. I think Doughty will make the team Canada roster and deserves it.

I think Doughty is going to have a massive year. He loves representing Canada in the big competitions so I think he's going to be extremely motivated to make the Olympic team and prove everyone wrong.

I won't be surprised if events unfold in a way that cause some countries to boycott the winter olympics in China.

I take Drew for hard minutes over every single one of those guys, and twice on Sunday.

There is almost zero chance Drew is held out over any of those players listed.

For a lot of reasons, then you add veteran leadership, a proven winner, a money player who elevated his game at the highest levels. His past Olympic experience paves that road.

AND he can play in all situations, people keep creating these Canada fantasy lineups that are like Makar-Hamilton-Theodore and I'm like who the f*** is going to PK and start in the Dzone? These guys don't even do that on their NHL teams...

I, for one, am ready for the sheer outrage of his name being mentioned. Doughty-Pietrangelo are about the only names remotely tied to Canada that can actually defend at even a remotely elite level.
