A little injection, a couple of snips and four puffs of smoke from behind the drape, and it's all done.

I don't even know where the Bruins would start to put a trade together. Unless the Sabres do another O'Reilly.

If they cannot put a package together for Eichel, they might opt to pry Dvorak out of AZ. He's young , signed to a good contract (4.5) and would be a nice fit at 2C. I read a couple weeks ago that the Bruins and Canes were inquiring on Dvorak.

What the hell is sports social media becoming? I clicked on that link and all it shows is a bunch of juvenile memes. Is this how teams are marketing their product now? Hundreds of employees, hundreds of millions of dollars, global brands, and it's all being marketed by some wanker that acts like a 13 year old child. So embarrassing.

Still, what's Ari going to accept from Bos? The Bruins don't have the space to take Dvorak by himself, so someone has to go. They also haven't made all that many player for player trades recently. Hall, but they got him at probably his all time low value. Maybe Ari doesn't care enough that they'll take DeBrusk and a 2022 1st back or something, but the Bruins don't have a ton of trade value on their roster(that they would trade), or in their system.

Kids are the future.

Aren't we (the Kings) the ones that started this?

I like the retaliation, but if Montreal lets him walk, then this puts the Canes in a pretty bad situation IMO.

Canes would be overpaying this player, plus have to give him a 6M+ QO next season. It also brings them right up against the cap, and they lose their 1st round pick.

Is he even worth $6.1 million or the compensation of 1st and 3rd round picks?

Eh, would you trade Vilardi for a likely late 1st and a 3rd?

As far as $6.1, I don't think he will be worth it this year. But as it would be a minimum for a qualifying offer, he may be worth the contract in the future.

It's definitely a lousy situation. Either overpay for one year or underpay for the draft picks.

Really is a lose-lose for MTL honestly. They either lose face or overpay their guy. Is it SMART for Carolina probably not, but they obviously are comfortable enough to do it.

Now what's REALLY entertaining is watching the MTL fans pivoting from shitting on Danault to suggesting KK isn't good either
