There's an Athletic article on it for those with a subscription.

Of course it could get legally worse for Kane. I've posted a few times how it could realistically go wrong for him.

I hope Kane's stbx wife realizes CA is a 2 party consent state.

Nearly spit out my coffee when I realized this, you beat me to the post. I still think of him as 'early 20 ish'.

28, going into his 11th season. My favorite player in the NHL,love everything about his game.
104 goals in 276 games over the last 4 years.

He's one of the smartest forwards in the NHL. Positionally sound on both sides of the puck, confident in all 3 zones, IQ off the charts, great broad ice vision. Over the last 4 years 0.91 points per game, a couple 30 goal seasons, Selke, and is in the top 10 in even strenght scoring, below.

NHL Stats

He makes every winger he plays with better. He faces down the top players in the game and dominates them, stealing their time and taking pressure out of the defensive zone and providing offense. He just sees the ice that well.

Despite playing almost all of last year with a nagging hip injury, he still had a productive season

He is not only the Flyers best player, he is the heart and soul of the team.

He said he wanted to stay in Philly, that deal is more on him taking a discount than Fletcher negotiating.

Jagr, turning 50 in Feb, ready to start his 34th professional season.

Jaromir Jagr Kladno Knights - TSN.ca

"At the same time, people still expect it from me, and that's probably the worst feeling, when people think I can but I know I can't. Plus, I can't even tell them. I just know that I will do my best to help the club. I don't know if anyone can understand my role. I don't even want to be in such a position, but I have no choice. As long as my father breathes, I take the club as my responsibility. He held it for 20 years. As a son, I would be embarrassed if I left."

this is crazy balls.
I feel sad that LA was not one of his stops on his fairwell tour. Would love a Jagr Kings jersey

How cool would that have been, in 2011-12 if he'd signed in LA instead of Philly?

He was pretty productive in his latter years in FLA, 66 pts in 79 games in 15/16 and 46 pts in 82 games in 16/17.

Part (s\) of him might be bionic.

Well, there were those wild rumors connecting Jagr to LA, dating back to 1997, as the Kings were in the hunt for a star attraction for the opening of Staples Center.
In Search of a...STAR

They also tried to get Pavel Bure, then Theo Fleury, but finally got their star in Palffy four months before Staples Center opened.
