I won’t say another word about this incident, but I will say as long as humans are the ones playing hockey, these “rabbit holes” ARE a part of the game and always will be. The proof is in the pudding. If it wasn’t a part of hockey, it wouldn’t keep coming up IN hockey non stop.

It’s just ridiculous that they kill conversation on these topics that people very clearly want to have debates on (look at the # of replies on the main topic).

Why can’t people just choose not to be involved in the discussion if they don’t want to talk about it?

They also could have not killed the politics forum, which was it’s own sub-forum only linked to by clicking a thread in the off topic board. They could have just directed that thread to the politics board, but that probably made to much sense. I post on a ton of forums for various different topics from sports to music to poker to travel and all those forums have politics or off-topic board to talk politics. The people who don’t want to discuss political issues can just choose not to visit that forum (what a concept)

Getting rid of the politics board and pretending that sports and politics don’t interact was sure an odd decision made by the decision makers.

Getting rid of the politics board was the most baffling decision they ever made on this forum.
Yeah I think it’s easy to forget that not everyone here is an adult and that they want to keep it a place for people of all ages.

Then again I’m not sure how many young kids are spending their time on message boards these days. There’s no app and no disappearing videos of T & A after all. ;)

Reading some of the stuff that gets posted on the trade rumors board would be more damaging to young kids than anything political.

Lemieux with 4 points in 5 games. Should’ve kept him over Macewan
I mean, he had always been capable of a little more production but the Kings were never going to utilize him like that again. Our third line has Kevin Fiala on it. Lemieux had nowhere to go on the team and the Kings needed an enforcer, not a scorer out of him. We didn't trade for MacEwen for his production he was clearly the worse player metric-wise by far. We traded for him because he can punch some of the biggest and strongest guys in the league in the face.

Would be a trolling masterclass (Toronto had tired players out there on the ice) if he hadn't already done it half a dozen times this season.

Boldy with a hatty.

That 2019 Draft continuing to haunt us with our 5OA selection. :sarcasm:

He’s a great athlete, I read somewhere he took up hockey later than most kids who end up as high picks, and excelled at other sports.

Not sure he’d this good in LA though, unless he spurned the Kings and returned to school on his own. Which most kids don’t do, they follow the lead of the team. And we know the Kings would have tried to sign him. No way is he this good spending his age 19 season with the Reign instead of at BC.

Back to back shutouts 6-0 and 7-0 against penguins and predators respectfully.

Brendan Lemieux has 2 goals and 4 points in 5 games as a Flyer.

Still not sure why we gave him up + a pick for the far worse player.
I don't think Lemieux was going to play any substantial minutes for the Kings after the trade deadline, so I suspect Blake did him a solid by trading him to a team that wanted him and would play him.

Wow, Columbus is a tire fire that started with another tire fire.

You have to think Quick tonight was sitting on the bench thanking god Lumbus traded him after watching the 7th goal go in. Thats 20 goals in the last 3 games.

And I'm curious about something Eichel didn't do in that game. When he scored a goal , his follow through nailed a guy right in the mouth and was hurt. He just looked down at him , almost glouting over him and then skated away. I've seen players apologize after that before, but he was a bit of a dick afterwards not saying anything.
