I don’t really have an issue with junior aged players not being allowed to fight, it seems a bit twisted to watch teenagers beat each others brains in when most won’t play beyond that level.

I think it would be unfortunate if the NHL ever completely did away with fighting. I think we have settled into a nice spot now where most of the staged nonsense is done but there are still instances where fighting serves a purpose.

I agree. They don't allow fighting in the NCAA either, so I'm okay with it. But yeah, I'm hoping it's never removed from the NHL.

not sure if this is a edict from the NHL HQ or something but referees seem to be actively trying to stop goalie fights from happening this season

It's absolutely different, I've never seen him this deep. It's working as far as overall goals, but it certainly exposes his main weakness.

He was struggling so much with rebound control I think it's the lesser of two evils for him.

Didn't see the highlight of the game before I posted . I was refering to his last goal given up as a King.
This was some of the saddest defense I've seen all year. 1 vs 4 and NOBODY touched him. You could've driven two buses side by side down that lane.



Then there was this beauty from earlier in the game. This was the kind of thing we saw in November . God I hated this game.

I have no issues with the shootout attempt. I guess the puck was very close to coming to a complete stop, but it should still count, in my opinion.

What is wrong with it? Kuzy gave a fist pump and said something like "Let's go" after scoring on the Caps first attempt in the shootout. The Caps scored 3 goals in the third, including one with the goalie pulled, to send the game to overtime and the win jumped them over Buffalo in standings. The players aren't giving up on the season even though management traded several players at the deadline.

Realtime it didnt look bad, but the slow mo replay seemed a bit much.. if any of our guys did that Id say the same thing (unless a game winner clinching conference champ)
