I can't tell if you're joking or not.Pretty obvious now Quick wasn't trying too hard here.
What were they from? His struggles here sure as hell weren't from lack of effort.
Maybe not trying was too harsh, perhaps complete lack of focus was a better word?I can't tell if you're joking or not.

Fully agree. Watching that game was incredibly painful because that 32 was worlds of difference from the undisciplined awful goalie I watched him be this year.I watched most of the game and that did not look like the same goalie that was here for the last 3 years
Who the hell knows. It's sports. Guys go cold and hot all the time. What were they from?
People have short memories. There was stretches last year where Quick looked just like that and was great.I watched most of the game and that did not look like the same goalie that was here for the last 3 years.
His rebound control still stinks, but Vegas did a good job of keeping shots outside.Maybe not trying was too harsh, perhaps complete lack of focus was a better word?

Hot and cold is one thing. Putting up terrible goalie statistics for 2-3 years is another. Even with his good season he has the 5th worst GSAA among starters in the last 3 years.Who the hell knows. It's sports. Guys go cold and hot all the time.
One thing I did notice about Quick this game is that he was smiling and looking like he was having fun out there.
That is NOT what happened here...Guys go cold and hot all the time.
With Hill's injury, he knows he is getting all the starts. He plays his best when he is starting most of the games.Who the hell knows. It's sports. Guys go cold and hot all the time.

7th most goals saved above expected in the entire league last year.Hot and cold is one thing. Putting up terrible goalie statistics for 2-3 years is another. Even with his good season he has the 5th worst GSAA among starters in the last 3 years.
Maybe he was pressing too hard and put pressure on himself, maybe this game was a one-off, but he sure looked a lot more limber than he did here.
Team is also undefeated since shipping Quick out including smoking the Avs. Maybe the trade helped both ;-)Wait is this Quick's third straight wins. Is this right. So it must have been the Team?
And like golf, it's a mental challenge. You start struggling and it gets in your head. Struggling begets more struggling. My guess is playing goal at a high level is similar to playing golf. Just the smallest little tweak in technique or change in confidence level can make a big difference.
