7 leads of 3 or more they failed to get 2 points.

Depth is not a problem but we have holes that could be filled through the redundancies.

I mean this is what you said, 7 leads of 3 or more.....and they failed to get 2 points.....and you showed...1.

Do I said didn’t get 2 points

You are right, I thought I read failed to get a point, but point remains, out of those 7...only ONE of those bores out in reality.

Those were all games we should have won!

But that's not what the debate is about, EVERY TEAM has "GAmes we should have won!!" thats not an LA King issue, that's a PRO SPORTS issue...

You said....they have had 7 leads of 3 or more, where they have failed to get 2 points, I ask you to point out those games....and you show me 7......out of those 7...one is a f***ing pre-season game, like...what?? And 1 is what you said, having a lead of 3 or more and losing...failing to get 2 points......the other 5 are all 2 goals or less in the 1st period.....

When talking about the Edmonton series, don't forget that they got absolutely waxed 6-0 and 8-2 in two of the games and choked away a lead in a game that went to OT which they won 5-4. Game 7 was a heroic effort from Quick as they were completely dominated.

Are they "better" than last year? Scoring wise yes but the goaltending situation is a giant hole and they could get motorboated quite easily by Edmonton.
All season long I have watched the Kings wilt when the other team shows up and imposes their will in a physical game against the Kings.

Yes, the Kings are a more highly skilled team this season, and they are scoring more goals. The playoffs is a competition of will vs will, and I don't think the Kings have what it takes to win a 7-game series against teams like Colorado, Vegas, and Dallas.

In a series with Edmonton, I think McDavid and Draisaitl would impose their will on the Kings in terms of their skill.

And those problems are still the problems.

7 Games with scouting to--
-Attack Durzi on his backhand;
-Target preferential matchups with Walker/Edler;
-Obliterate .900 goaltending;
-Match up vs. a defensively deficient 3rd line with Lizotte 3C;
-Manage minutes effectively since the Kings' 4th line will get 6-8 minutes, and just go deep in the series to run over an aging Kopitar getting 22+.
-Physically challenge the smaller, waterbug Kings--check them any chance you get and finish, staple them to the wall. They'll slow down and back down.

None of these problems have been addressed in a calendar year and are arguably worse.

If you're not going to go for it fine--kick the can down the road and sell for some assets. But don't just sit on your hands.

Exactly, and if the counterargument is "all teams have weaknesses," one needs only to look at whose job it is to exploit them: Todd "Reverse Sweep" McLellan. As if.

Going off memory my bad but I was still pretty dead on that this team can’t hold leads.

Yeah I was this team can’t hold leads. Shit if I broaden it to leading with 5 min left in the game only to miss out on two points we are even more disfunctional.

I will make it easier, who do you think has lost more leads......LA or DAL, LA or SEA, LA or EDM

That’s not material. I’m not interested in how other teams are playing; I’m interested in what’s wrong with our game. Our holes are going to be a problem in the playoffs.

Dude....it's all material, because what you see as an LA problem is a LEAGUE problem, there's not ONE team that has not surrendered a lead, not one, BOS has the fewest, surprise surprise at 4, then WPG and Vegas CAR and MTL at 10, that's the top 5 in the league, then it goes to 11, 12, 13 and LA has lost the lead leading to a loss, 13 times, along with EIGHT other teams....

But because we aren't mentally resilient, that means we have RARELY overcome trailing right, we rarely come back and win after losing...right, oh wait...we've done that TWELVE times, along with 4 other teams....who does it hte most, NJ, who does it the least COL.....I guess COL has holes etc?

Amazing how you can take a PRO SPORTS ISSUE.....and turn into a solely one team problem....

Minnesota traded for Marcus Johansson which guarantees they will not do well in the playoffs. He is the real life skinny player from Nintendo hockey.

One of the things that is driving leaguewide increase in comebacks/blown leads is power play goals. Officials are giving the teams that are down a shot to get back into it. Considering our terrible PK this disproportionately impacts LA. Yes, they can also be on the other side of that equation since the PP is good but if that hits a cold streak (led by Doughty and Iafallo no doubt) it could really swing a series
