For sure tampa should have but the goalie held it for long enough someone could argue the play should have been blown dead with a delay of game for not playing it to Montreal.

2 seconds isn't gonna get you a delay of game penalty....someone could argue

I'm not sure what's dumber: admitting to a mic'd up player you intentionally high-sticked him in retaliation to someone else's hit, or the league STILL only giving a fine. It's Hartman's 7th fine.

I think the fact it was only a fine. Should have been at least 2 games.

Had this been LA's top player injured most of us would want someone doing what Hartman did.

for sure, I do think delay of game is too far the other way. Was just pointing out that i think Tampa has a case here. Seen a lot quicker whistles with no one around the goalie.

It's one of those, I'd be pissed as hell if I was Tampa in the moment, but afterwards, I'd be pissed at the players.....

i'm just picturing monkeys with cymbals clanging inside george parros' brain when he tries to do his job

Drinky bird also gets a vote

Rookie Watch: Faber, Nemec leading way in time on ice | NHL.com

Brock Faber, D, Minnesota Wild: A second-round pick (No. 45) in the 2020 NHL Draft, Faber (6-foot-1, 200 pounds) is first among rookies in average ice time (24:38), including first in average time at even strength (20:34) and second in average time shorthanded (2:49) in 35 games. The 21-year-old is one of three rookies averaging at least 20 minutes per game this season. Faber is third among rookie defensemen with 16 points (two goals, 14 assists) and second in blocked shots (61). Minnesota controls 49.2 percent of the 5-on-5 shot attempts when he's on the ice. Faber, who is usually paired with Jake Middleton, has four points (one goal, three assists) and a plus-4 rating in his past seven games.

In another universe, Faber, Clarke, Byfield, and Vilardi have formed a new core and are slowly developing into a major contender.
This is exactly why they should have dealt Kopitar while they had the chance.

Nobody is going to be given the opportunity to take over the team while the HoFer is still around. Its guaranteed mediocrity.

They could have gotten a haul for Kopitar but it would have been ok to have him if he was willing to take on a mentor role through some more really bad years. Doughty calling for Blake to compete instead of go through a full rebuild was the real problem.

Anaheim consistently putting up better performances than us vs. the same opponents

Yeah, they didn't sleep walk for 60 min. The Leafs were so beatable last night. Two goals off of turnovers and that was the game. The Ducks probably don't feel so bad losing to a 4th sting goalie, who for the 22nd time beat the Kings.

Dostal was insane, so many saves. Ducks are also missing quite a few key players. The officiating was somehow worse tonight in Anaheim than it was last night, so many shit calls.
