To be honest, Vegas looks like they are running out of gas. I would never underestimate that team as they are dangerous, but they've played a lot of hockey in the last couple of seasons. They'll get it back in gear but the adrenaline from the cup win and the start of the season is wearing off.

Sharks with the win tonight, Washington is gonna be fired up on Wednesday. SJ is only 3 points behind Edmonton, but with 2 more games played.

Calgary is playing much better, they are now in the 8th wild card. Nashville and Arizona have a better percentage though, the fight for spots 7 and 8 might be epic this year. It's probably gonna stay jammed up for most of the season.

And this is where some of the advanced analytics show where teams are ultimately trending. When you have a team that is way above where the analytics are showing, it usually tends to fall back down to reality. They are still a great team.

What am i missing on the Perry story? Granted i know nothing besides the hinting posts above. I'm guessing Perry hooked up with & nailed a young teammate's mom -- what wrong with that? Maybe not cool (maybe -- they probably are somewhat close in age). If it was his younger sister -- ok now that's bad. But his mom -- all adults here. But maybe i'm missing a big piece of the story.
