Weird. You said Quick (and other goalies) only benefitted from the defensive style of the Kings. Rangers have the stingiest defense, allowing only 23.8 shots per game (3 fewer than the second-place Senators). The fewest shots allowed per season the Kings have since their cup-winning years is 25.Had to get him away from goaltending guru Bill Ranford I guess.
I never said Quick ONLY benefitted from the Kings defensive style. I did say/imply the primary reason the Kings had so much success with goalies during that era was probably due to their defensive style more so than it was due to goalie coaching.Weird. So which is it?
I was wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. Nor the last.Ducks are going to beat Boston tonight, right?
I think anyone can put in a claim. If LA is only team that submits a claim he can eb sent to the minors.I believe we get first dibs
His entire job is to sub occasionally for Shesterkin. It's perfect for his age and experience. He can be good for one or two nights and then sit down for a while. So Quick seems to be doing well
when their top players don't play till the playoffs there is less of hangoverI'm surprised Vegas is 6-0. Seems like SC winning teams usually come out the next season with a bit of a hangover.
Not sure if it's changed but this was true at least as of a few years ago. Any team can claim him and the Kings would be last in the order, if no other team claims him, the Kings can claim him and send him to Ontario.I think anyone can put in a claim. Yes of course. But based on what we saw last year it would be a bit of a surprise if he played really well. His entire job is to sub occasionally for Shesterkin. It's perfect for his age and experience. He can be good for one or two nights and then sit down for a while.
be interesting to see how ratings are for tomorrow. I like the idea of staggered start times for the NHL (something they need to do). All teams playing on a weekday is the part i question over doing it on a Saturday or the first Sunday after the superbowl.
Maybe he'll have a brief revival playing for his childhood favorite team. It'd be nice to see his numbers get a little repair after the beatings he took here. I want him to hit 60 shutouts.Yes of course. But based on what we saw last year it would be a bit of a surprise if he played really well.

Avery, Sean?I'm trying to think of the last Kings I really wanted to fail after leaving the team. Roenick? There has to be someone more recent than that, though.
I find myself questioning their scheduling at the end of the year, or after NFL as well. Just seems to not make sense for getting as many eyeballs on games as possible. I guess the NHL though focus is much more regional than other leagues. It seems like they keep doing it too. Probably just early season scheduling quirks? I haven't analyzed it by any means. but so far, almost every other night only has 1-2 games while the rest have 8-10+.
JR left in 2006, Rob Blake was after that .I'm trying to think of the last Kings I really wanted to fail after leaving the team. Roenick? There has to be someone more recent than that, though.
I've wished for the most burning of crotch itch for Avery. He's just been a shit person outside of hockey.I'm trying to think of the last Kings I really wanted to fail after leaving the team. Roenick? There has to be someone more recent than that, though.
It's funny and it's also kinda sad that a three year old arena already has electrical problems.
It's been around forever. It's the old Key Arena the Super Sonics used to play in. Should note it was renovated for the Kraken but it's not a new building itself. It's funny and it's also kinda sad that a three year old arena already has electrical problems.
I stand corrected. I mistook the renovation as being a new arena. It's been around forever. It's the old Key Arena the Super Sonics used to play in. Should note it was renovated for the Kraken but it's not a new building itself.
I would hope they installed new lighting and wiring but figured I'd note that it's the old building to some extent.I stand corrected. I mistook the renovation as being a new arena.
but the dollar amounts of the reno was enough they could have built new. Given it is designed eco-friendly that is more the ironic part to me.It's been around forever. Man, the years just blur together the older you get...JR left in 2006, Rob Blake was after that .
