RNH just had 100 point season and Hyman doubled his career average, and McDavid doesn't make people better?

Man, cmon, I get what you are saying, but you take Gretzky off of EDM, they still had a f***ton of talent......same with Lemieux.....and keep in mind, I tend to favor the old fashion game, rather than this new one where everone who scores 40 goals is generational......
man i cant wait till im old enough to be old and grumpy .. now im just mostly grumpy haha

Calgary loses in regulation to CBJ.

That moves the Kings up to 2nd in the division.
Seriously? You are seriously looking at division standings after 3-5 games for teams. Just funny to me. Guess never too early.

Serious hockey. Serious fan.

But seriously, an early season lead, or deficit, can make a big difference. Oilers are already 8 points behind Vegas.

Last year had LA not started off so slow, we might've won the division.

even gave him the courtesy slash

you 100% know you're about to be hit in that situation

stupid call
Bucci is a creepy dork but he's right. As a paying customer, nothing is better than being at a game when it feels like it could go off the rails. You can't have playoff intensity 82 games a year so don't call BS penalties to discourage legal, hard hits in a game that is giving playoff intensity vibes.

Already accepted that anyone with a fighting major in their career will get a ten minute misconduct just for talking about a fight in a high intensity situation but this penalty call is something else entirely.

re: Fagemo , if Nashville waives him , can only teams that didn't have a chance to claim ( those who were high on the claim list ) make a claim or can other teams that previously passed on him make one ( like SJ or ANA) ?

I think with goaltending you go the super cheap route and throw randos in net until one works, or you get a high end elite netminder.

Nothing in between.

Korpisalo is an example of taking the "in between" route. Same with Campbell.

The AHL is a great place for prospects.

i don't even think the guy meant to hit him really, just headbutted the shit out of him on a weird stride

hate to say it but shit like that happens when you're skating down main street admiring your pass though

The AHL is a great place for prospects.

Especially ones that have no idea how to watch where they are skating. Lots of head-hunters down there, but that play wasn't one of them. For the love of god he didn't even bother to look up, watched the puck all the way coasting in like a peewee. The other guy didn't even hit him, was more surprise as he was skating right into him.

It's the true definition of stupid. I've noticed a lot of guys coming up out of juniors do stuff like this lately, not sure what's going on with that.
