How is Luke Schenn still getting contracts? Dude looked cooked years ago when he was with us.
Luke Schenn is a lot tougher than any King player. He hits, fights and doesn't get pushed around. And sticks up for his team mates.

Hard to believe that the Senators gave Korpi a 5 year deal worth 4 mill. Man Dorin better hope he pans out because if he doesn't this is the second goaltender in the past 5 years he overpaid for a goaltender. I think Korpi is in the 2.5 Mill range per year. signed for 2 years.

And if you listen to Trotz interview last week he said Schenn knows the game within the game.

Also, met Schenn and Vinny at Nobu a week after they got traded to la. Took a pic with both - Schenn is prob the nicest player I’ve ever met.

Luke Schenn rightfully shoudl be in demand as a bottom pair guy who can play up if needed.
he won't break the bank but provides stability and leadership. Not issue with him.

None of which has anything to do with my question. Dude could barely skate in 2016. I’m sure he’s a nice guy. I’m sure meeting him made JohnnyUtah’s century. Not disputing any of that.

Well to be in the league this long, he must be able to skate ok. Have to be pretty strong on skates in order to fight. He isn't the best but he is decent at his position.

i am shocked Zadina was not claimed. $1.8M cap hit, only two years left. Big winger with upside IMO.
Calgary should have claimed, they will need guys once they move out Lindholm and Backlund (I know centers but still)

Isn’t he due over 2.7 million or something next season?

Teams are full up going into Camp and already need to trim rosters.
Another time of year a team with injuries would bite.

Kings had the 4th least amount of fighting majors in the league at 11.

Now that Durzi, Lemieux and McEwen are gone who stands up for teammates and pick up 11 majors?

The saddest thing about this team is the three toughest players are a 20 year old Swede in Helenius, a 18 year old in Ziemmer and an 19 year old in Sparkes who is in college.

who had the 11 for LA last year? Wasn't McEwan so that not a loss. Don't think Durzi or Lemieux had that many. Danault has fought, PLD has fought, not sure on Gavrikov. It will be a committee and heat of the moment sort of thing. Fighting does not equal toughness and I don't think it will be missed.

I'll order you a red cap and a Speedo.

It will fall on the shoulders of LA PIMs leader and enforcer, Blake Lizotte to pick up the slack.

Zadina is horrible, a perfect example of it not taking forever to realize when you just had a massive whiff on a pick. I am not surprised that nobody has interest.

I know plenty of Wings fans, and I don’t know a single one who was happy with that pick at the time it was made. The fans wanted Hughes, and the fans knew better than the GM. And that one stings too, Hughes and Seider would have been a dominant D pair for a long time. No idea how anyone passes on Hughes there, not only was he basically bust proof with his skating and IQ, he also had a huge ceiling (which he has shown in the NHL).

Andreoff was one of those players who we always talked about as being someone who would be completely useless on any other NHL team, save for the Kings. He was one of the more useless players this team wasted ice time on.

Of his 188 career games, 159 of those were with the Kings, and he's appeared in 29 games since then.
