Our big tough hard-nosed defense man signing is Andres England! This is a joke, this has to be a joke.

The only enforcers that signed so far are Lucic, Reaves, Boko Imama, and G. Smith (SJ).

Kassian, Lemieux, Gadjovich, and Comtois all still out there. Same with the Ritchie brothers and Hathaway.

Looking like 112 million/7 years for Austin Matthews.

16 million AAV.

That's 22 million, four hundred thousand $5 footlongs from Subway.

You could have a $5 dollar sub for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner for the next 20,465 years.

Schenn has gotten better with age and he can fight and do it well. He’s also a great team guy and person. Met him and Vinny when they were traded to La - met tons of players over the years and prob one of the nicest I’ve ever met. Big Schenn fan.

Matthews has scored 100pts one time in his career.

16M is crazy. Especially considering his production drop off in the playoffs.

Toronto is in a tough spot. If you try and trade him, how much value are you really going to get in return? He's a pending UFA who wants to get paid 16M/year. Not many teams going to give up huge assets for that I would think.

Then Mcdavid will have to have a bigger contract! Yes, yes, destroy your teams cap.

Gibson claiming he won't suit up for the Ducks next season. Leafs fan raging at Nylander's 10m/year ask. Kings just out there using Frank's method, SCRAPS!

Leaders lead, and Matthes appears to lead only for his contract. Nylander wants 10 million a year (reported) and insiders are saying he won’t take any sort of discount unless Matthews does first.

This could get real sour for Toronto negotiations of Matthews gets 16AAV and expects anyone to take discounts on contracts.

An interesting stat - of the top 10 hit leaders in the NHL...

1. Schenn - signed by Nashville.
2. Gudas - signed by Ducks.
3. Deslauries - signed by Flyers last season.
8. Hathaway - signed by Flyers.
10. Noel Acciari - signed by Pens.

Of the 32 total hit leaders for 2022-23 season there are NO Kings on the list, but two formers ones in McNabb and Cernak.

Also, considering Reaves was on the first UFA's signed and Toronto also added Bertuzzi and Domi, I guess the physical play isn't dead in the NHL after all.

Though, it is dead in this organization.

I think you're getting these guys mixed up with their dads. You're getting old Johnny.

Domi is probably one of the least physical players in the NHL. 0.87 hits P/60. That would be dead last on the Kings.

Bertuzzi isn't particularly physical either. He's about average I'd say. He'd be 12th on the Kings in terms of hits P/60 behind Bjornfot.

Didn't think Bertuzzi's dad was todd? Learned something.

Yeah Domi is far from a physical force.

I am surprised that Zadina cleared. Thought a lower team with space in their bottom 9 on the wing would take a chance on him.

Haha. Maybe I'm the one who's getting old. He is Todd's nephew.

Still, people are just assuming Bertuzzi is physical because of his name. Which is silly. Same with Domi.

Tie domi has my vote as the overall middleweight fighting champ of nhl history. A certified badass. Wonder what happened to his kid?

Domi is physical and Bertuzzi is nasty - see Cousins stick during the playoffs.

Domi jumped Dumba and starting throwing bombs after the hit on Pavelski. Anyone on the Kings roster can or will do that.

NO.

Domi is a one dimensional offensive forward. Yes he has teammates backs, but he does not initiate or prevent anything. Would not call him a physical presence.
