Also, fun thing to consider..,Islanders won the Stanley Cup 8 years after joining the NHL.
Lightning won the Cup 12 years after joining.
Oilers won the Cup 4 years after joining the NHL.
I never realized this. Come to think of it the Panthers didn't win but they were in the finals 3 years after their expansion.

Maybe this notion of expansion rules being unfair is a little overblown.

I was all for the teardown, but of all the players Blake dispensed of - Marty was the one that bothered me. I thought he was a natural leader wouldve been good with an A on his jersey (and in hindsight sure couldve used a 3LD). Someone correct me if Im wrong but the picks turned into Faber (2020) and Helenius (2021) - which is pretty solid.

I think the Kings traded the Vegas 2nd round pick for Lias.

It was a big mistake trading him. Kings could sure use his skills.
I also do not think it was a mistake given where LA was at, and likelihood of him re-signing given path ahead.

One of my favorite kings ever for sure, miss him, made sense to move him. No regrets.

yep Kings sure could have used a LD this season, or since Marty was traded.

Who says there's another goalie is coming in? Copley can back up Copley.

since inking Gavrikov the need is a lot less. Not like you bring in a guy like Martinez to play 3rd line

At least we're not Vancouver.

OEL will be on the books until 2031.

I was pretty shocked to see he's only 31 years old. Seems like he's been around forever.
