Interesting trade and I suppose a winner for both. In Regula, Boston gets a big d which they always want.
ya ya, Regula is a good one. Big, Skilled, Right Shot D Man @ 6' 4".
He played here with the London Knights for 3 Season.
Will he fit in with the Bruins as a #5-6-7 D-Man?

Also, not sure who that was singing the Hockey Song but holy shit, I don't think I've ever heard a LESS enthusiastic version of a song in my life...a corpse could have made it more exciting.

All the Selke highlights being of the nominees scoring goals says a lot about how voters view the trophy these days.

How about Slavin getting a single 4th place vote for the Norris? I’d say they’d need to split the award between offensive and defensive defenseman, but as you pointed out, even when they’ve done that with the forwards, the defensive award focuses on offense.

From NHL.com:

The Frank J. Selke Trophy is an annual award given "to the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game." The winner is selected in a poll of the Professional Hockey Writers Association at the end of the regular season.

I don’t think the Selke has been a true top defensive forward award since maybe Kris Draper in 2004. Seems like it’s given to the guy that’s well above average defensively while also putting up points. Even the year my boy Ronnie Franchise won it in 1995 he had well over a PPG.

McDavid almost had a unanimous vote for the Hart, except for one chucklef*** who voted him fifth and Pasta first.

Whoever did that needs to have their voting rights revoked. That's inexcusable.

Would have been McDavid's second unanimous Hart win as well, making him the first player in NHL history to accomplish that (yes, even Gretzky only had one).

But as is typical in life, someone ruined it for every one else, and there's a good chance it was a Masshole.

Yep, they purposely games the system to not give McDavid a unanimous vote, and for that they should be kicked out of the process.
