Takes turns benching players and when trying to hold a one-goal lead with a minute to go he sends out Erik Gudbranson (yes I’m aware he doesn’t have a ton of options, but surely someone better than THAT).

I already can’t stand Pascal Vincent as an NHL coach. He’s just David Quinn 2.0.

It's not Pascal who went after Gudbranson and Provorov.

Time to face facts. Quinn Hughes has finally surpassed Cale Makar as best dman.

3-1 Nucks. Another point for Hughes. 1g 1A in 15 minutes. Woodcroft is done lol
He absolutely has been this year. Going to make me a ton when he wins the Norris since I bet when he was still way down in the odds

It’s going to be interesting to see how long it takes for the Canucks shooting percentage to come back down to earth

Don't want that f***ing highlight-reel floater. He's a more highly skilled Matt Duchene.
it’s ok, MacK will yell at him when he floats. McDavid will fix the 2C problem for the Avs. I say we get him when he asks to be traded

Hope you make a boatload. If he stays healthy and keeps a ppg pace the rest of the way its a given.

Valid. But he’s still the guy playing him with a minute remaining. Coaches just loooooove that guy and I don’t know why.
Considering that he benched Gaudreau for being a lazy f***, the coach must think that Gudbranson worked hard and deserved to be there.

Sounds like he's trying to change the culture in that room. CBJ is pretty much Buffalo from 3-4 years ago.

At least the Stars are losing too. When Avs get shutout tomorrow vs the Devils, it will make a difference. We can’t afford to keep getting shutout and Stars winning on top of it

Yeah I know. Thing is, forcibly “changing the culture” rarely works. Certainly didn’t when Quinn did it, and it’s not going to work in Lumbus.

The Canucks star players are actually playing to their potential. Avs star players have been inconsistent. Right now its easy to see why the Nucks are better.

Hughes >Makar
Pettersson > Mackinnon
Demko>>>George
JT Miller > Rantanen
Hronek > Toews
Boeser > Nuke

The Nucks are also playing with an insane shooting percentage to start the year. Who knows if that will last, or how they adjust when their puck luck falls off

It probably won't but Pascal was dealt an awful hand to start his NHL head coach career.

Remember that he's only there because of the Babcock fiasco and he doesn't have a lot of options.

This is similar Bednar when he took over for Roy at the last minute but with a much worse team and a GM with one foot out the door. That's terrible.
