He wont need 100 points to win it. Theres no other dman close to him right now. Also, the media loves him, hes a captain of a Canadian team. This is the sorta early buzz that can put you over when the season ends. Cale Makar will need to put up better numbers to have a chance.

Crosby over McDavid... People say Crosby had more help but that's bullshit.... Crosby is just a better leader and it really shows. Ron f***ing hainsey was playing top 4 minutes in one of Pittsburghs runs.... Crosby definitely had moments of frustration for sure but he didn't just give up like Connor... Crosby also made an effort to improve his overall game as well instead of just letting other players play defense

MacKinnon is no Crosby but he definitely takes after him as he was on the ice in the final minutes of the cup final putting his body on the line and dragging landy to the bench. That's why I love Mack love we have him... And Landy too

McDavid is the most skilled but thats not all you need to win...

Even if he gets fired they are toast and after that tantrum from McDavid he's gone... Media keeps pushing he's not at all at fault but at some point maybe he is even if it's a small bit

Also I don’t think this Vancouver hot start to the season is sustainable. They gonna come down to earth and Makar most likely gonna catch and pass Hughes in all aspects of the game by the end of the season

Mackinnon has more of a will to win than Mcdavid does less than Crosby and Forsberg but more than McDavid. McDavid is the most gifted offensive player the league has seen since Mario but he doesnt have that win at all cost drive like some of the other greats imo

They should make the playoffs though since pacific division is wide open. After Vegas and LA, it’s anybody’s spot to get that 3rd place now that the Oilers are plummeting

Makar needs to focus on getting healthy and actually playing a full season before any talk of the Norris at this point imo.

Had a full off-season to get healthy and it feels like he could/needs to take some time to get back to 90%. Feels like something should have been done in the off-season but as usual the Avs mismanaged it.

Boston - Terrible center depth, great wingers, good defense, great goaltending - 2nd in NHL

Edmonton - Among best center depth in NHL, ok wingers, bad defense, bad goaltending - 31st in NHL
