Ducks defense is going to be stacked again in another few years with Drysdale, Zellweger, Mintyukov, LaCombe, and Luneau.

I doubt all of them pan out, but that's loads of potential and I wouldn't be surprised if 4/5 of those names combine to make a very solid top 4. They also still have Helleson, Hinds and Vaakanainen who i'm not as sold on, but still decent prospects.

Bolded is the real gem of that group.

He looks unbelievably good for them this year and he's still only 19 years old. He's also a fantasy superstar already lmao. Averaging 1.5 Shots, 2.5 hits, and 1.5 blocks per game to go along with 6 points.

Dude has future #1 all situations guy written all over him IMO.

Quinn Hughes might run away with the Norris this season. Brother Jack gets MVP, Quinn gets Norris and Luke gets ROY. If Makar gets Stanley Cup all is forgiven.
Makar will be sidelined recovering from hip surgery he should have had this summer

He could very likely never be the same except for the occasional good day

Ah, Paulie. One of my favorites. Really loved watching him play. Epitome of scrappy. My favorite thing about Milan Hejduk was how he went from a speedy, open ice cycle game with Sakic and (slightly slower with) Forsberg to a dig-pucks-out, battle-in-the-slot type of game with Stastny and didn’t miss a beat.

Oh and f*** every one of y’all who called him “Casper.” He was never the problem and the contract he signed with Giguere was worth every penny, no matter how many times Dater bitched and moaned about it.

I found it interesting that he didn’t go for longer term on any of his deals post-Avs. He certainly got his $$$ but he was fine sacrificing a bit of that security to get it.

As for some of his political leanings and actions, for once I’ll just shut up and leave things be for now. I still admire the player, even though I admire the person a lot less these days.

Someone needs to post a still of that time EJ and Landy came up behind him during a postgame interview.

tl;dr: Thanks for the good times, Paulie, both at DU and Colorado. Just please, no more donations to stupid people.

You didn't. You brought it up out of nowhere.

I'm not looking to discuss this. In fact, I don't know or care about this, but I'll just point that out.
