Have you seen the photos of the Saturday night Canucks game halfway through the first period? The arena is half empty. Presumably, a decent amount were sold and just no shows but it’s bad all over the country right now. Tickets aren’t exactly affordable (cost me ~$400 for two lower bowl seats to see the Avs there in March) and people are struggling to pay their bills as it is

I just looked hes currently second in rookie scoring as a dman and no PP time. Thats impressive. Hope he keeps it up. He looks pretty damn good.
The people saying "It sure looks to ME like he was kicking his leg up" have no clue about hockey. They probably don't even watch it regularly, they're only paying attention because something awful happened. They saw a grainy 15 second clip and suddenly they're all f***ing experts on what it looks like when you fall down while ice skating.

He’s like the Star Trek movies, he’s only great every other season.
This is an even numbered season though, he's supposed to be good this year.
It's probably in part due to the malaise of resigning two very good players to very long contracts who will age out soon (see Calgary). After that kind of move, it's like you're dooming your team to the mushy middle for years to come (see Vancouver).
