My wife was just showing me a video she came across about a dude creating a company to make cut resistant underclothing. I think the shirt he was designing was more for youths but it was a turtleneck which hopefully will be able to prevent something similar in the future.

This just sucks.

Yeah, they really need to do something about it. Those skate blades are pretty much sharp knives and hockey is a fast and physical game

Jesus, the violence of the collision in the EIHL with the skate blade makes the Malarchuk and Zednik incidents look like papercuts. Grainy video quality (mercifully), but it's hard to imagine how a person could survive a wound like that.

It's honestly a miracle that Malarchuk survived his injury, only the towering heroism of the trainer was able to save his life that day. I certainly hope that Johnson was so lucky.
