Yes but then a potential of facing Vegas in west finals when they’re healthy is what makes this a tougher road. Vegas is finding their game now and getting healthy

Jets, Stars and Vegas is indeed a tough path. Hopefully there will be a couple of upsets (not against us). Facing one of Preds/Nucks/LAK would help quite a bit.

Freakin Vegas is gonna get lucky watch. They gonna get healthy and play Edmonton and Vancouver in first 2 rounds. I don’t believe in either of those teams. Edmonton and Vancouver are gonna choke

Vegas is already getting healthy. Hertl is likely to come back any game now. Pietrangelo just came back. Hill is likely not so serious he will miss the playoffs.

Also they will probably get Stone back at some point in the playoffs too

Yea Dallas getting the easy LA matchup in round one isn't ideal though.

I'm not too scared of Winnipeg but there's a chance of getting goalied. That's not happening against LA.
Yeah Helly is by far the scariest part of Winnipeg. He can very easily put ip a ~.950 over 7 games. Other than that Winnipeg doesn’t really worry me.

The worst part is we don’t even know what kind of monster Vegas w/ Hertel is

If Avs are healthy, we can go toe to toe with Vegas and they don’t really scare me even if they’re totally healthy. Specially if we get Landy back too

IMO, Winnipeg plays a style that is a bad matchup for the Avs. Bowness just knows how to coach against Bednar and the Avs. Add in Hellebuyck getting hot, and that's a recipe for a quick series.

The Jets are 4-2 vs Colorado in last two years, and the two games they played this year were complete ass kickings by The Jets. I'd much rather have to play Dallas, LA, or Nashville than Winnipeg or Vegas in round one.

The amount of drooling over Vegas is killing me haha. Look at their schedule recently:

Is it that impressive? A bunch of meh teams. Winnipeg and Vancouver are good, but look at the way they have been playing recently.

To me the West is clear:

Tier 1
Colorado, Dallas, Vegas

Tier 2
Edmonton, Winnipeg

Tier 3
Vancouver, Nashville

Dgaf
Los Angeles

Avs road to the playoffs is most likely Winnipeg, Dallas, Vegas/Edmonton. We don't get any of the easy teams this season unless a major upset occurs.

If Georgiev can just not cost the Avs games they can beat any team in this league when healthy.

Would you be more impressed with them if they had lost to Montreal and Columbus?

It is less about Vegas today (I though they have been playing well), it is Vegas is getting healthy and adding more on top of that team.

Their center rotation could be Eichel-Hertl-Karlsson-Stephenson for the playoffs (though I bet Stephenson shifts to wing).

I think Vancouver deserves a little more respect. I’d put them in tier 2.

Who gives 2 shits about regular season. It's a team clearly built for the playoffs.

Regular season is only good to get you in the playoffs. Once you get there it's like a brand new season.
