Huh? Dudes an unreal coach. Philly was a disaster last year and he’s had them in a playoff spot all year. He had Columbus actually relevant for a few years. I don’t know how anyone can say he’s a bad coach.

If people don’t like how Torts is now they’d hate every coach from like the 90’s and earlier.

i agree, it isn't the 90s anymore, the league isnt the same. he hasn't accomplished much since his cup win with his mindset and coaching schemes.

save the word unreal for coaches in the modern era who actually win consistently, develop healthy relationships with their players and set a gold standard for the future.

its like watching Whiplash the film and rooting for JK Simmons' character

That was a very good round 1 and glad the refs let them go. When Rempe gets technique, he’s gonna be the clear top fighter. Haven’t seen a legit line brawl in a long time.

I feel like Dermy could've won that more definitively.
It was pretty even… Dermy won, but was all he could really handle. Rempe had 3 or 4 really good punches that stung Dermy.

I honestly don’t hate this idea

I don't like it. What I think would be better would be to make the reviews quicker. No slow mo. No super zoom. Refs can watch it at game speed and if there's not compelling evidence to overturn, then the on ice call stands.

The biggest issue is the amount of goals called back because of irrelevant shit way before. The league wants more scoring and yet has a rule that actively goes against that

I'd rather it become a full two minute 5-on-3.

Guaranteed we'd see fewer challenges.
Also don’t hate that. It should be for egregious offsides… not this very split second ones. Also would start have linesman quit deferring to not calling. So many plays that look offsides are allowed not because it can just be reviewed.

The problem with having review but not the slow motion is that it will certainly lead to incorrect calls and one eventually will be in a high stakes game. Just make it so teams really have to be sure to challenge. That’ll take care of it without having the frame by frame scrutiny.

That's the thing. If it's a nanometer call that you have to zoom in and slow down to see, it shouldn't be considered incorrect to give the benefit of the doubt to the scoring team. We've seen plenty of incorrect (not in the spirit of the law) calls as it is. Like Landy in the playoffs. Dude wasnt even in the play, and yet the slowed it down zoomed in and took away a good goal.

I don't like that most players seem to hate the offside reviews yet we have geriatric farts proposing rule changes and expanded reviews to make the game even slower. Such a disconnect.

It would still be a headline and a talking point that would end up getting changed. I agree logically… but say Toronto loses game 7 of a cup because of it, Toronto may cease to exist.

Matthews with 63… 70 still in range.
