Don't know if it was posted here. I almost thought it was an early April fools but they really made these  I would expect a team like maybe Buffalo making them but Canucks? Damn it's embarrassing.

. . . and when the 'Nucks get bounced in Round 1, they'll sell T Shirts of the collective backsides of the Vancouver roster with the tag "CLENCHED".

It’s been so long they’ve forgotten (or weren’t even alive to know) what your favourite team winning a Cup feels like and I guess care more about being able to say they’ve had a second player in the top 5 all time
If he doesn't win a cup in Edmonton, I won't consider him a top 5 of all-time.

I found this gem on the edmonton board related to avs getting to most calls in nhl. I think I lost some brain cells reading it all.

"I think part of it is that the Avs are fully committed to selling calls, it seems like a bought-in philosophy that they've discussed in the locker room. During that playoff series against them, I was completely blown away by the amount of diving and whining.. and the refs seem to just lap it right up.

I think the Oil see themselves as "above that", they don't try to sell out to get calls. I think they should shift their mindset on that"

I haven't seen any other fanbase whines more about reffing than the Oilers one. They talk about reffing before the game even goes on. To me that screams finding excuses already. Instead of talking like how to play against Mack line, what can McDrai do to win or how their bottom 6 are going to look. Nahh refs are against us, Bettman hates Oilers that's why they haven't won a Stanley Cup.

I still think that Reforado Assalanche is my favorite nickname for the team from other fan bases.

I’m sure that argument will come up. If he was a dud in the playoffs like Jumbo it would make more sense. His playoff p/g is way up there (pretty sure he’s surpassed Mack on that metric now) so not entirely sold it’s his fault his GM failed at building a team around him

Like with Dionne as well, he was a bit of bust in the playoffs iirc hence why he’s not as regarded as players he has similar numbers to.

If Mcdavid doesn’t win a cup(he will I’m sure of it), it’d be like if Bourque didn’t win one. And I think Bourque would still be regarded as one of the best dmen ever regardless.

I feel like every year I forget about how annoying the edmonton fanbase is until we are close to the playoffs. They are an insufferable lot. Always a new excuse and such an inability to realize the huge flaws in team construction

Saw this earlier and my eyes rolled out of my head. Easily the most idiotic fan base in North American sports.

Did you see the part where they said if McDavid had 41 more PPs this race would be over, like you can just give him 41 more PPs or something.

There seems to be quite a lot of them that are just mindless idiots who seem to think that 'puck over glass penalties against their team' are an organized scheme cooked-up by the refs in collaboration with the Avs.

Or when a d-man like cody ceci takes a hooking penalty - no, it's not because he's slow or that he SUCKS and can't defend - it's because the NHL are against them.

Most of them can't come to grips with the fact that their best players basically just play the game one-way and in leon's case - is injured going in only ONE DIRECTION  - and won't play a complete game when it's needed in the playoffs. Those are the issues with that team and have been for quite a long time.

I'm really surprised Hartman got 3 games for that. Looked like he even threw it to an empty area.

Won't hear any complaining from me though. I hate that POS, that organization and their stupid shitty logo.
