Based on the Statements made, and that allegedly six were born in 1998, two in 1999

There are only two CHL players, born in 1999 left who haven't made a statement. The list for 1998's is down to 8 players I think. It's not going to be long, before it's pretty clear who is all involved. I think it's against forum rules to name any of them, though it's not hard to figure it out at this point. Innocent until proven guilty of course, but it's not looking good, and it would be somewhat shocking, if they hold onto their careers at this point.

is it really not allowed to mention them?

Hmm interesting.

Yea this is getting intense for sure.

I think the unknown is that the original article from May referenced wording in the lawsuit "including, but not excluded to members of the 2018 World Jr team"

so like, yea we know who the final 99s are, but we dont know for certain that the 99s werent just some random CHLer either.

It doesnt look good, but nothing is definitive.

Wonder is Sam Steele coming out and saying he wasnt involved will mean he is getting signed soon.
Cant forsee a team signing a lower end F.A if findings are gonna drop during the season. Its one thing for teams to deal with distraction if your a star or can be (Kane's) but for a likley 4th liner or 13f im not as sure.

Pretty sure the main boards thread has a list of those who have made statements and those who have not.

Ongoing updates to those ...

The statements throughout the week brought the total to nine made by members of the World Junior team after Victor Mete — who is also represented by Quartexx — released his own statement on Twitter last month, saying he was vacationing with his family and out of the country at the time of the alleged incident. (Mete's agent, Darren Ferris, had previously told Hockey Unfiltered's Ken Campbell that Mete had been out of the country at the time.)

Pretty disgusting reading the Oilers board thread on the Katz situation.

Some sketchy things being said.

Nino to the preds for 2 years @ 4m per?

When I see contracts like that, it's when I hate our cap situation. Nino on Tavares left side would have solved so many issues all at once.

They could have fit him in at that rate if they dealt Kerfoot and Holl

Disappointed the Leafs couldn’t get in on that

Yes, I could have easily posted that list, I just didn't think it was appropriate here. The challenge being, the numbers don't match up... Some who have denied aren't being truthful. It wouldn't shock me to see them all deny shortly.

Yep, going to need a solid alibi, like being out of the country at the time.

I don't think that they could have fit him in. That would meant signing both Engvall and Sandin for $1.5 mil or less. With Engvall at $2.25, and assuming Sandin at $1.5 (It's more likely to be $2 mil), I'm showing the cap left at $3,372,717. (With moving Holl and Kerfoot for futures)

I mean, that's a pretty good deal for Nino for sure.. but it would have required moving Muzzin and Kerfoot, not Holl.

We could have fit that, so it has nothing to do with our so-called "cap situation" (which is actually just being a top team and having good players).

I disagree, I think we have a pretty unique cap situation. I don't think too many teams in our position have a cap distribution like ours. But I know you have strong opinions which don't often waver, so I'll leave it at that.

Top teams operate at the cap. That's not unique. We didn't miss out on Nino because we couldn't have fit him in.
