Things are not looking great for Hockey Canada.

Looking at that roster and listening to spitin chicklets two names from that team jump out at me up about stories about them.

damn....it just gets worse and worse.

The player told the camera operator that viewers were about to see "a f---ing lamb roast,” the three sources said. After the hallway interview, the camera was then carried into a room with a pool table, the source said.

The video shows roughly a half-dozen players taking turns having sex with a woman who was non-responsive and lying face up on the pool table, the source said.

It also turns out that Hockey Canada has an ongoing contingency fund, set up specifically to pay off such complaints. So they are using Tax Payer money, to finance expected Sexual Assault complaints by players!!!! Like they literally expect this stuff, and setup a fund to cover it!! Unbelievable.

Hockey Canada needs to be burned to the ground. This seems like the top of the iceberg, and if they’re involved in covering it up. f*** them.

f*** those despicable players and hockey culture.

You know what I’m tired of? People blaming this on “hockey culture”. As if it is any different in any other major sport. Football, hockey, baseball, basketball, it’s all the same.

Women throw themselves at these athletes like they’re rockstars when they’re just teenagers a lot of the time. Anyone that’s grown up in a junior hockey city knows this and has heard crazy stories. It’s no different in any of the major colleges for big football or basketball programs.

Another example of this was a story in the last year or so where a woman went on a podcast and bragged about having sexual relations with multiple members of the Phoenix Suns in a single night. This stuff is common place across all sports. To pretend it’s just a hockey issue is ridiculous.

Even if you’re referring to sexual assault, go across the major sports and you can find all kinds of athletes that have been charged with these things.

Just been grinding my gears reading these things, as if it’s just a hockey problem. It’s a societal problem with no easy fix.

I think thats actually a downgrade for the Panthers this year. Longterm it's good for them tho.

Well they couldn't afford to re-sign Weeger or would be hard pressed, especially if they re-signed Hubes .... But that value seems really bad for Florida. Like really bad.

Good job Calgary to make the best of a bad situation. Assuming they keep Huberdeau.

Holy f***!

I’d rather have Huberdeau at 9.5 than Tkachuk, but then Weegar and yet another first!?

The Flames might be alright.

:panthers

Out:
Huberdeau
Giroux
Chiarot
Marchment
Weegar

In:
Tkachuk

Potentially some short term pain for long term gain in this trade for Florida. Interested to see which direction Calgary takes going forward.
