I get you though  God it sucks holding the tongue...but i've learned until it happens can't do much. lol

The Leafs tanked hard for Matthews and I was in favour of it. I fervently hope that the Habs dont get Berard but gosh watching this kid the race for the bottom is going to be epic. Maybe a bargain can be had while the great sell off is on.

Habs give up another converted TD, but not a word of criticism of playing a bunch of rookie D from mainstream media. Everything is peachy in Montreal. Ballard era Leafs were a laughingstock for playing 3, Habs have had as many as 5 regularly, the soft coverage of all Canadian teams outside of Toronto never ceases to amaze and amuse.

Gee, I wonder why...

On a positive note, I was pleased to see them completely blown out, rookie D or not.

Ended up 9, 16 in two games, that ought to end the notion that they’re decent

thats the one thing i think i like about the NBA draft and all tbh.
I was thinking Anaheim or especially SanJose anyplace but Canada

Am I seeing this right? Montreal loses 9-2 to Washington and St Louis left Allen in for all 9 goals? Let him rot during a slaughter? Last time that happened in Montreal Patty Roy walked out. BRUTAL way to treat a goaltender regardless of standings or tank-status.

To his credit, MSL owned it:

Allen allowed nine goals on 38 shots for the Canadiens, who have lost eight of nine. Coach Martin St. Louis took some blame for leaving Allen in the entire game instead of pulling him.

“I probably could’ve helped him out,” St. Louis said. “They got to eight, nine with four minutes to go at that point, think I was past the point of no return in that department. But I think as a young coach, this is a learning experience for me.”

Marty should say I should admit as a bantam level coach that I’m in way over my head and have been told to play these kids on D and make sure that Suzuki and Caufield get plenty of ice time and points while requiring them to play with no defensive awareness. Montreal media applauds adoringly.

I'm torn - I like Jack, I wish he would be better for his sake, but I have to admit, I'm fully enjoying Oiler fans being totally pissed and giving up hope because of the way he's playing

Probably would have been non-PC for MSL to admit that "losing the 2 points was huge, and losing the next game will be huge. We don't care about Jake Allen's feelings and confidence and neither will our fans when we call Bedard's name at the draft."

I really hope this is the year where like the 7th or 8th place teams wins the draft lottery.

Send Bedard to St Louis or something

I hope he goes to Arizona.

Something to energize that franchise a little bit, even though it would suck for Bedard himself. At least he gets to play somewhere warm.
