Bedard is insane. Carrying this Canada team.

Bedard is not overhyped. The rest of the team is.

It was supposed to be a generational team and there is definitely a lot of skill. I don't think many of these guys have the brains to make it in the NHL. At least not to make the most out of their skill.

Fantilli especially has been extremely disappointing in international competition. He finds his points, but he does not look like an elite-level talent and makes a lot of mind-numbing decisions. For a projected top 5 pick in a supposedly deep draft, I wouldn't be too excited about him.

I had expected more from Wright as well, especially playing with Bedard so much.

He is not playing with Bedard. Wright is playing with Othmann and Guenther, and neither have been all that great (other than Guenther being Bedard's triggerman on the PP). Wright has been one of the better players on the team.

Although this is a team mostly filled of disappointments so it is not that hard for him to be one of the better players on the team.

A lot of individual plays by this team, fitting that the winner was too.

They‘ll have to work as units against USA.

call me crazy but I think we catch Boston, just a feeling.... will revisit in April lol

We play them 3 more times. We can gain 6 points on them there. After that we need to gain 5 more points on them in 42 games.

Boston's current winning percentage would put them 8th all time for a season and are pacing the most wins in a season (63) by a team.

Pretty crazy.

Just watched the TSN highlight package. Looked to be an amazing game.

Bedard...oh my goodness that was ridiculous.

GCG!

Dammit man, I really hope he doesn't go to Montreal or Scottsdale.
Chicago set themselves up for Bedard well, and once they trade Toews and Kane at the TD it will be clear sailing to last overall with top odds. :)

Once they traded 23 year old 41 goal / 80 point player in Alex DeBrincat last summer the intention was clear then were looking for the next great Connor to lead them.

Bedard anywhere West would be ideal.

Yep, Bedard deked out the entire country of Slovakia to score the winning goal. IMHO, without Bedard, Canada falls victim to Slovakia for the first time at the world juniors.

On top of that Bedard was electric generating multiple chances each shift beforehand too

I must be the only one who would have no issues with Bedard being on a Canadian team.

I'd gladly take seeing him on the Canadiens than having him waste away in Columbus or Heaven forbid Arizona.
Me too. I'm one of those weird people who would be happy to see, if it can't be the Leafs, another Canadian team win the Cup.

I'd like to see all the best players, particularly Canadian ones, on Canadian teams.

Except for Ottawa.

And Edmonton.

The good news is that the Habs likely won't catch any of the bottom 3 teams (CHI, ANA, CBJ). The bad news is that they can still finish with around the 2nd best odds if Florida doesn't get their shit together.
