More covid weirdness. How do you carry your team over Vegas in the playoffs then find yourself in the minors shortly after.

So I guess Galchenyuk is out on IR having signed with the Coyotes. The guy's career is so off the rails at this point.

Habs could be burning a bridge here

Theyre doing him a favour. The Habs fanbase is the only one tougher than ours when players struggle.

It was smart to get him out of there before the shiny new toy syndrome wore off. He wouldve been ripped apart in that market.

I'm more concerned with my own backyard. Montreal has famously given up way too early on several good young players who were actually good draft picks. It's usually defensemen. Are they going do it again, this time with a forward?

Lonny Bohonos was a lousy overall player: didn't skate well, would ignore his positional responsibilities but he had terrific hands and finish. He flourished when given time on Sundin's wing. Sometimes you'd feel like grabbing these guys by the shoulders and shaking them "don't you know what you're throwing away here!" see also David Cooper, Alex Sugablov, Kyle Wellwood, Harold Druken.

For those wondering, no Cole Caufield is not in a good mood. The opposite would have been surprising. It will be up to him to deal with the frustration to dominate the American League. (Google translate)

This is a kid who needs to do some serious maturing. Talented kid, but it takes more than just a good shot, to succeed in the NHL.

The hype this kid got has gone to his head.

This Ho-Sang article is pretty timely
Josh Ho-Sang was misunderstood. Now, he’s happy and playing the game he loves

You spend your entire childhood dreaming about playing in the NHL, and then someone says, ‘No, you’re not ready.’ And you’re like ‘I am!’ They’re like, ‘No you’re not.’ And that’s a tough pill to swallow at 18 to 21. You get rebellious and angry and you don’t have gratitude for situation that you’re in. And I think a lot of young guys struggle with that

I hope Caulfield figures it out

As a player on a rival team... hmmm... maybe it's better if they just continue to struggle... but ya, you like to see young kids, and players succeed, even if it's the rivals.

Haha, I get what you mean, for sure, but for the individuals, I have to root for them
Who knows, 2, 5, 10, 15 years time, he could very well be a Maple Leaf!
