Oilers fans turninmg on Zach Hyman.

There's a reason I kept saying last year that Zach Hyman was overrated and that he's def not worth the hype/contract.

It's the danger that comes when a player opted to chase money. With a big contract comes even bigger expectations.

Hyman is an excellent support player, and I do wish he was still a Leaf. But it was always going to be hard for him to live up to that deal

Tampa, Florida and Toronto's record vs each division
ATL 21 - 7 - 3 (120 point pace)
MET 21 - 9 - 4 (111 point pace)
PAC 9 - 4 -0 (114 point pace)
CEN 12 - 3 - 4 (121 point pace)

Seems pretty consistent honestly
Correct, but that has nothing to do with what I posted.

I loved that guy, he gave everything every night but a 7 year contract?

Madness and stupidity

If you're dipping into the UFA pool don't give term to non elite players

Tavares at 7 years :yes, Hyman for 7 years : hell no

Normally yes, but the schedule is balanced this year.
We play each Pacific team twice, and each Atlantic team four times.

We play Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo, and Detroit four times each, while Edmonton plays each twice.

How is that 'balanced'?

Interesting when you look at teams that have had the high draft picks in the last several years, how many of those build through the drafts have failed.

Edmonton, Arizona, Buffalo …

Hyman is the definition of someone who got overhyped because of the Jersey he was wearing. We overrated the shit out of him because he skated harder than the next guy.

I'm not saying he's a bad player, but overrated as hell. That contract is brutal for the oilers and I was happy when we moved on.

Overrated by which jersey?

He would never have had a hint of Team Canada talk while wearing this jersey.

Really it is more balnced than in previous years.

If the Metro is indeed the best division than the Leafs would have a much tougher schedule than the Pacific as they play every Metro team 4 timea as opposed to 2 times.

Also they have to play TB, Fla and Bos more the the pacific.

Ott, Mon and Buf do bring down the overall strength of the Atlantic

How is that 'balanced'?

Ok. Then can you explain why our division has the worst winning %, if it's not because those teams are really bad?
I mean...The teams at the bottom are really bad. The teams at the top are really really good. The Pacific has Vegas and a number of average/bad teams. Like do you honestly think having to go through Tampa,Boston,Toronto, and Florida is an easier path then Vegas,Calgary,Edmonton and Anaheim? It isn't even f***ing close.

Laughed out loud when on a very popular hockey podcast one host asked the other something along the lines of "who saw this coming?" with regards to the Oilers.

Lol

It’s crazy that people who get paid to talk hockey seem to always miss the big picture.

Everyone who knows anything about hockey saw this coming. You can only rely on 2 players for so long.
