I would feel better if Edm won tonight. I hate when the Leafs play someone on a long losing streak. It always feels like it's inevitable that the streak will be broken

There is maybe one team in the Pacific that would make the playoffs playing in the Atlantic. The fact Ottawa and Montreal are dog shit isn't gonna matter much when you have 3 teams in the top 5 of the league...and Boston to break through. What you have there is about as shallow as a puddle.
There are currently six teams in the Pacific with a better point % than four teams in the Atlantic.

Collectively the teams in the Pacific have a better winning percentage against teams in the other divisions than teams in the Atlantic do.

Maybe our top three are looking so good because our bottom four are so bad?

Tampa, Florida and Toronto's record vs each division
ATL 21 - 7 - 3 (120 point pace)
MET 21 - 9 - 4 (111 point pace)
PAC 9 - 4 -0 (114 point pace)
CEN 12 - 3 - 4 (121 point pace)

Seems pretty consistent honestly

Pretty good. Too bad they will have to beat each other up to get out of the division.

No that is not the case.

Who cares about the regular season

Come playoff time Vegas will go through the likes of Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton to make it to the final 4. What a scary path

We have to go through Florida/Tampa. The back to back cup champs and another top 5 team in hockey

Atlantic is a million times tougher

Oilers are a poorly constructed team but it's quite clear these players want Tippett gone.

The amount of negative value Holland has accumulated the last two years is laughable, it won't matter who the next coach is.

Normally yes, but the schedule is balanced this year.

They want Tippett fired. Today could be his game if they lose. Currently down 2-0 to the Rangers

I hope not. I would hate the Leafs to have to play the Oilers with a new coach.

I would love the Leafs to throttle the Oilers and then have to get a new coach!!

They should start by having a defensive game

They both put up better defensive numbers last year and to start this year.

The problem is that they can't win if they concentrate on D first because no one else can score.

The two of them have tried for years but the Oilers have pretty much given them not much to work with.

I would take either one in a nanosecond.

Oilers GTD is half on the ledge and half have jumped.

In any case it’s pure comedy gold.

I still think it’s premature to fire a coach. After all the Oilers just won a cup in the month of October.
