Raccoon Jesus
We were right there
That should have gotten Parros tossed off the panel
Saw this earlier and, if true, is really gonna rustle some jimmies, especially on the heel of the Tim Peel stuff.
As good as Bettman has been for the league, this is some tabloid-level scandal stuff coming to light in the last few months.
And never mind Parros, if that were true no wonder he's throwing all sorts of random shit out there haha.
I shouldn’t even pay attention to NY media because it’s the biggest rag mag market in the US, but the notion Tom Wilson is some plug is absurd. He’s a very good player and would rank sixth on the Rangers in points. He regularly plays with Ovechkin, one of the greatest goal scorers of all time. You don’t put any plug with Ovechkin and there’s no way he plays with someone he doesn’t like. I disliked the first punches on the downed player more than the sequence with Panarin. I have no dog in the fight and Wilson has definitely crossed the line, but it looks like an altercation and then Panarin lost his balance and fell. Wilson was going berserk mode, but what player of his style wouldn’t? I don’t like it but some of these articles I’m reading are totally hysterical.
I think Tom Wilson is bar none the most talented 'big man' in the game. He can play a 1st line game (much like a roided-up version of Dustin Brown) and face anyone in a scrap and props for that.
But that's also what makes these actions that much more shameful. He's an experienced fighter.
Take a number, blow Buchnevich up next shift. You're 1RW, you'll see him again. And then you can kill anyone who comes in to fight.
Agree on the Panarin thing to a degree, I'm big on "don't come in unless you want some too," but as mentioned, this is a guy who can handle himself in a fight, and even the code fighters know better than to hammer someone to the ice, they'll often hold a dude who is crumpling. Just rag doll him a little bit so he knows and tie him up, there's no need for the Captain Insano.
And 'seeing red' isn't really an excuse. It's a motive, but not one that means you lose responsibility.
