That should have gotten Parros tossed off the panel

Saw this earlier and, if true, is really gonna rustle some jimmies, especially on the heel of the Tim Peel stuff.

As good as Bettman has been for the league, this is some tabloid-level scandal stuff coming to light in the last few months.

And never mind Parros, if that were true no wonder he's throwing all sorts of random shit out there haha.

I shouldn’t even pay attention to NY media because it’s the biggest rag mag market in the US, but the notion Tom Wilson is some plug is absurd. He’s a very good player and would rank sixth on the Rangers in points. He regularly plays with Ovechkin, one of the greatest goal scorers of all time. You don’t put any plug with Ovechkin and there’s no way he plays with someone he doesn’t like. I disliked the first punches on the downed player more than the sequence with Panarin. I have no dog in the fight and Wilson has definitely crossed the line, but it looks like an altercation and then Panarin lost his balance and fell. Wilson was going berserk mode, but what player of his style wouldn’t? I don’t like it but some of these articles I’m reading are totally hysterical.

I think Tom Wilson is bar none the most talented 'big man' in the game. He can play a 1st line game (much like a roided-up version of Dustin Brown) and face anyone in a scrap and props for that.

But that's also what makes these actions that much more shameful. He's an experienced fighter.

Take a number, blow Buchnevich up next shift. You're 1RW, you'll see him again. And then you can kill anyone who comes in to fight.

Agree on the Panarin thing to a degree, I'm big on "don't come in unless you want some too," but as mentioned, this is a guy who can handle himself in a fight, and even the code fighters know better than to hammer someone to the ice, they'll often hold a dude who is crumpling. Just rag doll him a little bit so he knows and tie him up, there's no need for the Captain Insano.

And 'seeing red' isn't really an excuse. It's a motive, but not one that means you lose responsibility.

I don't see any excuse for punching a defenseless opponent in the back of the head when he's face down on the ice, driving his head into the ice. Wilson is tough enough that he doesn't need to do it. That's not at all 'a play I'd love on my team,' that's utter chicken shit play.

This angle make you feel any different?

Hot take - Leon Draisaitl is one of the most underrated players in the NHL! I rarely hear about this guy in any articles or on the radio, he's an absolute machine.

He has the second-most points and fourth-most goals over the past four seasons and won the Hart trophy last year. What do you mean he's underrated?!

Also. this background to the NHL debut in net last night for 28 year old MIchael Houser

Very cool, what a moment for him, something he'll never forget.

Houser won again last night, leading the Sabres to a come from behind win vs the Islanders .

It’s because of that year with the Reign and Monarchs in 15-16 that prepared him for this. :D

I agree The NHL does such a shit job pumping the stars of the league. Hopefully he is all over the place in Germany and the league is at least using him to grow the game there.

He should be a bigger deal, but yet we still hear more about Crosby and Bergeron.

Side note, when watching the kings game Monday and looking at kopitar getting closer to 1,000 I thought two things. 1) How much bigger of a story would this be if he was a Ranger or Leaf? 2) How many more points would he have if LA did a better job surrounding him with skill? I love Brown, and there have been some cases of Gaborik and different players.

No it doesn't. It says more about you for making broad assumptions about somebody over an internet debate. I wish the best man. You clearly have some unresolved issues to work out. But I aint going to let you work them out on me. Pain is unavoidable, suffering is self created. Your over reaction to the play, and my posts are clear indicators that you're making life more difficult for yourself by judging others. Take some deep breaths.

Dustin Brown has been suspended and fined multiple times in his career. Many of his hits would be described as "predatory in nature" by non-Kings fans much like everything Wilson does is by the "string up Wilson" crowd. Brown is revered on here by most while Wilson is the worst thing to happen to hockey.

If you go looking to throw enormous hits, you are going to hurt people sometimes. Wilson's biggest problem is that he will look for that blindside hit that is no longer tolerated. If he keeps doing that, this is the thing that will be the end of him. When/if that happens, go ahead and throw the book at him but you can't toss him out of the league because he might do something bad later on.

How many head shots has Brown delivered that crossed the line? Raffi Torres would be a better comparison to the sociopath you are defending.

Have you ventured beyond this forum?

Dustin Brown is seen as worse than Wilson.

nevertheless it's a false equivalence, we're not talking about hits in the course of play. Call me when Brown does ANYTHING after a whistle but smile like a goofy bitch.

Are only headshots predatory? Marchment is considered an all-time cheap shot guy but it was for low hits.

What does predatory even mean? Hit them when they aren't looking? Would Brown on Sedin be predatory since Sedin had no idea it was coming?
