And there's a lot of people on the main boards who think he's a better goaltender than Gibson......The fact Hellebuyck was a Vezina finalist over Gibson is laughably bad. You know how Smith for Calgary is good for one bad goal a game (usually the result of him misplaying the puck)? Well, Hellebuyck is good for one bad goal a game due to his rebound control, or complete lack thereof.
His strategy for stopping shots is this: square up, get as big as possible, and hope the puck hits him. He's completely static in the net. As is the case with many other teams, goaltending is Winnipeg's Achilles' heel.
