Hampus Lindholm and ANA agree to terms on a six-year contract with an AAV of $5.25M. #TSNHockey

Great deal.

was hoping he would command over $6M just because of the duck factor...Trouba should take notice of this deal.

Now let's see how BM gets the Ucks under their cap. He's got some time with Depres on LTIR - but will need to deal with this contract sooner or later. I'm referring to their cap, not the NHL cap.

MAGNUS PAAJARVI (700K) & DYLAN MCILRATH (800K) hit the waiver wire.

This years standings don't effect the order until Nov 1st.

Wouldn't mind putting in a claim on either or both and waiving Greene or Purcell. Sucks for Greene.

if mcllrath makes it to the kings and they pass on him i'd be surprised. i doubt he makes it past toronto though.

Probably won't happen, but taking a shot at anything over Purcell would be fine. Greene is pretty much done. He has another year on his contract, isn't outplaying Gilbert. I love Greene's game, but don't see how he makes it back at this point.

Greene should retire be given a job in the system.

Ducks have blown by their internal cap. I doubt there's such a thing anymore. They'd have to shed $8-10 million in salary. Not going to happen.

I don't know that they are that much over. Bernier's salary is half paid thanks to a bonus Toronto paid July1. And I imagine not everyone is being paid their cap hits.

Actually looks pretty even. Perry's actual salary is about $1.5 million more than his cap hit. Getzlaf and Kesler $1 million more. Only guys making less are Lindholm and Bernier (and a few others <$500,000).

lol can you imagine the league wide hate that would get? I guarantee you would see a lot of people saying cap circumvention.

I was under the impression this was a pretty common "move to the front office/position in the organization after retirement" thing.

People would cry because it's the Kings though, that you're certainly right about.
