Lol yeah I know he sucks

Pittsburgh Post Gazette reporting the Pens are hunting for a 3C because Bonino is looking for 'more than a moderate raise' over the 1.9 he's making now.
And with as many teams eyeing centers, he'll get it too.

“I would say
is the priority now,†Rutherford said. “We have to see what Nick [Bonino]’s going to do. We’ve been talking to him and his agent. Hopefully we can figure out something there, but if not we have some options that we’ll be comfortable with.â€Â

Hearing Joe Thornton's camp has heard from a dozen teams so far... obviously San Jose remains the top wish. But interesting week ahead...

and that the Blue Jackets aren't done w/the top 6, still want to add a top center.
(doesn't everybody...)

Cody Franson getting plenty of calls, too. Coming off a 2-year contract, suspect he's looking for more term on his next deal.

Flames remain interested in re-signing Kris Versteeg. However, multiple teams have reached out with July 1 looming

I'm certain Kariya is in the HOF on Stevens' highlight reel.

I mean, I guess he was (exactly) PPG over a nearly 1000 game career but I don't know, when I think of him I just don't think HOF. I give him a lot of credit for coming back after that hit even though they would have never let him in today's game (rightfully so). I believe he scored a goal later in a that same game too, did he not?

He did. This clip includes the hit and the goal.

As much as I dislike the Ducks, that was probably one of the most memorable moments in playoff history. I did not expect him to comeback, let alone score a goal that helped them get to Game 7.

Aside from a Stanley Cup, his resume is pretty impressive with Olympic Gold and Silver, World Junior Championship, World Championship, and an NCAA Championship.

It's a shame that concussions cut his career short. All thanks to that cheap *******, Gary Suter.

That hit from Stevens was a ********** move as well. WAY late. Stevens wouldn't last a month in today's league with the type of hits he threw.

"Off the floor and on the board!" Great call by Thorne, forgot about that.

You are correct. Kariya scored a goal not too long after the hit by Stevens. Great showing of guts and courage on his part.

If I remember correctly, Gary Suter injured Paul Kariya more than once with a hit to the head.

Kariya had a fine career. Not sure he is a HOF'er though.

Methot would of looked nice as a Doughty partner for the next two seasons with his contract going away in time for Drew's raise.

A 2020 2nd and a 7th round draft pick from the recent draft? Gross.

Stars are thrilled to land Methot. Now, focus shifts to forwards. I can see Justin Williams as a player of interest in Dallas.

Upgraded the backend with Bishop and Methot and their not done yet...

Brett Connolly has agreed to terms on a two-year deal with WSH. AAV of $1.5M.

McPhee continues to get low value in his deals

He drafted too many defenseman that are on deals that would require waivers should they be sent down so he kind of backed himself into a corner. The other GMs aren't going to give up solid assets knowing McPhee has surplus defenseman he needs to move out.

A little late but perfectly stated 'dysfunctionally existing' (Ward commenting on the AZ press release on the 22nd that TIppett and the Yotes mutually agreed to part ways.

What an absolute debacle.."Mutually AGREED"?? How's that what they used to describe this. Maybe "Dysfunctionally existing'.Sorry Yotes fans

Methot's 4.9M cap hit is probably the reason his value was so low.

It's not that bad for Vegas though. They're not going to be good now so what's the point of keeping Methot? They continue to stagger draft picks over the next 3 years. They now have 7 2nd round picks in the next 3 drafts.

I know if I owned VGK I wouldn't want to pay Methot that 4.9M.

I agree with john. Vegas is not going to be good for a few years. So there is no real point in keeping methot at that price. Given his age, trade him for futures.
