Multiply that by 5 and you have his SH TOI for the season.

Those are hard minutes though.

Holy ****, you're right. He's seriously played 67 shorthanded minutes all season?

I loved that one fan who said that shorthanded minutes are easier than powerplay minutes, because you're skating back and forth on the powerplay and just standing there on the penalty kill.

i can't understand for the life of me the defense force that comes out for Karlsson claiming that they'd be "worse" if he played more on the PK. Why on earth would you not have your 1D out there in that situation if he's genuinely as good as they all think he is defensively? I don't buy the argument that they need to save him for offense, it's obviously not helping them win games regardless (it's basically just padding his points), and continuing to do the same damn thing ending in failure is the definition of insanity. I'm also not completely buying the "Sens suck outside Karlsson" stance, they have a lot of talented firepower in their top 6 - while their blueline is obviously pretty bad, it's also pretty clear to me that the team as a whole is just being terribly managed. A better coach would do wonders for Karlsson and the Sens as a whole.

What's crazy is how much time he has played given he does not play on the PK.
33 Min last night.

They also have the 30th ranked PK.

The explanation is they "need" him to score on the PP and 5v5 but I agree, if you want to help your team win, you think the best dman in the league could help the worst PK in the league...I don't get it.

Just finished watching Caps-Wild.

Richards just can't move out there, he still has good game sense but he just can't move out there and do anything.

Scoreless through 10 games with the Caps and a -1.

I guess the -1 is a major improvement over his time in LA, just read that he has failed to record a shot in 5 of the Caps last 6 games.

Just thank the hockey gods that we somehow got out of this with minimal damage.

In all fairness if you were watching EK on the PK I could see where some fans would get that idea from.

McDavid is just silly good. Scoring at a 95 point pace.

And just when I thought I'd be happy the Flames were up 4-1, Sharks storm back and make it 4-3, and the second isn't even over.

Tied 5-5, SJ gets a 2-minute five-on-three with three minutes to go. Ramo hurt on play, Hiller has to go in cold. Wild scene.

Damn I was going to turn it on sooner but just turned it on for the shootout which sounds tame compared to what you're describing.

Price done for the year - Knee injury.

Sucks for Montreal, but at least they knew before trying to pay to bring in guys at the deadline for a push
