He was injured (lower body) in the last Caps game vs Nashville, wasn't at practice on Wens and until gametime, they weren't sure if he would be playing at all.
Since apparently you haven't seen him play, he's done alot of things in all areas, and he's played very well so far, prior to the injury, skating well, averaging close to 13 min per game and 3 or more min PK time, he's been strong on faceoffs and esp good on the PK. For someone who hadn't played in over 9 mos, he put up 13 min and 3 min on PK his first game back and was their best player. It's not easy when you miss training camp and then almost right away, lose 8 days to a snow storm and 5 more to all star break.
I was surprised he was playing at all last night, given the awkward hit.
I know you can't see Richards, and will never see him, that's your choice. But he's doing just fine as CAP, and will continue to do so, whatever is asked of him, thru a long playoff run.
He's moved on, shame you can't.
Wild's only win was against us, right?
yep, and it was a 3-0 shutout.:
Guess they should have circled other games on the calendar too.
Also that means we won't have to see that godawful trap on a team with an infinity dollar payroll.
Watch Richards intercept a pass in the slot and shoot it completely wide. Vintage.
Karlsson a -4 tonight, but hey, he got a pp assist.
I watched. Didn't want to bring it up, but yeah, he was pretty bad. Great on offense as usual, lack of effort/focus on defense probably worse than usual. Overplayed as usual. Kind of feel for him, but lack of a consistent defensive effort is the #1 knock that people want to overlook because yeah, he got an assist on the PP so being PPG = Norris.
5v5 GF 56, goals against 51, most in the league by 6. At least he's a +5 at ES now though. out of d-men with 300+ minutes, 2.82 GF/60 is 17th in the league, and his 2.57 GA/60 is 180th out of 202.
Cry about that being a team stat all you want, that's appalling if you're talking Norris.
Hawks have been slumping since win streak and Kane has cooled off a bit exposing our poor offensive depth
Add in Hossa injury and 1st line LW blackhole and things are looking a bit bleak for Hawks
Had no business getting a pt tonight ,, Crawford is only reason for that pt
Kane looked beat up tonight. He took a lot of hits and really didn't look like he had it as the game went along.
