also the Nucks are so gawdawful this year that none of my friends are really paying much attention to the league at all this year.

I don't care. Played a super enjoyable game of Catan in a room full of Nucks fans through the 5-0 win earlier in the week and I tried not to be too much of an ass. I don't hate them as much as a lot of ya'll (parents team, friends etc). Damn were they cocky though from 08-12ish.

I've made several points over the years in this forum that Canucks fans are most certainly humbled now when I attend games at Staples. Four and five years ago they were absolutely insufferable. But now they are pretty quiet at the games. Although generally speaking the Kings have whooped their ass mostly since that time.

It looked like nobody knew what to do for 4:45 seconds, then a turnover and it got mildly interesting. Still , very ugly 3 on 3.Nobody deserved a point.

The Ducks got 5 out of 6 points by only scoring 3 goals on this trip.

Daniel Sedin admitted that they play for the shootout, because they're a bad OT team.

So curiosity got the better of me and I decided to check out our boy PK Subban's numbers, cuz you know, he has a Norris and all. Again, the worst on his team in preventing goals in 5v5 situations at 2.44GAA. I swear, Doughty is so damn ridiculously good compared to those offense only guys. Doughty plays so many friggin' minutes and is still top 2 on our team in goal prevention at even strength at 1.56GAA...one point five six. It defies logic. But then it doesn't really because he's a damn Defenseman. And he's the best at it. If you're the "best" defenseman on your team, you should not be the worst at actually preventing goals. Holy crap.

More fun facts, Doughty has 108 PK minutes, Subban 87 and Karlsson 39. Doughty has played 103 PP minutes, Subban 171 and Karlsson 179. Doughty with 2 games in hand on both. That is nuts.

Doughty is benefiting from playing with Quick, who is benefiting from playing on a strong defensive team. See, they benefit from playing with each other. That's what the experts on HF tell me.

On another note, I don't care what hype Subban gets. He's endeared himself to me with his personality. He's among my favorite non-Kings.

At least two people made that argument.

"Yes. Because standing is a box formation in your own zone is so exhausting... "

Yes, actual hockey fans believe this garbage.

They even went so far to say as playing PK is easy and less tiring because they're not skating up and down the ice.

Agree KP, I LOVE Subban, and he has a heart of gold.

Despite what it looks like I really enjoy Karlsson too, but I guess being realistic about what he does and doesn't do is too much haterade. I've watched a bunch of Sens games this year pretty much just for him with a side of Stone.

I'm actually glad the fans stuffed ballot voting in favor of John Scott, it shows how flawed and stupid fan participation is when it comes to All-Star votes.

Have Gretzky and Lemieux or a legends committee pick their own teams and have fans vote on the starters from those selected teams, problem solved.

Link?

Not doubting, just wanna see the source of info.

It's been being rumored and by quite a few people. They are the only one of the 67 teams that have asked to host. And being the 50th year it's thought they will get it. And Toronto has asked as well for the 100th year but they have also asked for everything and it's thought the All Star Game is the one thing they won't get.

I don't mind if there's fan participation in a fluff event.

But if people abuse their privilege on something funny and unoriginal, then they deserve to lose it.

Sounds like next all star game is in LA

I'll be there!

Ya gotta love Jagr...

Fans-I was afraid,that 3on3 all-Star game may kill me,now,I am more afraid,fighting John Scott 6,8 300 during All-Star, kill me for sure

Panthers going for their 8th straight win vs the Rangers tonight.

I'm just gonna randomly bring this up. I wish PK Subban played for an American team. The NHL would have benefitted from him tremendously because of how marketable he could have been for American NHL sponsors like Discover and Enterprise.

I agree but i think more because I could see him doing a ton for the youth in the area. I can imagine PK down here doing loads of camps and stuff for teens in LA/OC/IE in the Summer. He's a brilliant ambassador for the game and just happens to be in a market where it might not be as 'needed' though he's certainly still a heavy giver!

New Jersey blew a 2-0 lead with ten left in the 3rd. 3v3 you'd think would favour the Stars but Benn took one of the most blatant hooking penalties I've seen this year. Dallas touched the puck maybe three times in OT, John Moore with the point blast on the PP FTW.

If John Scott goes to the ASG I hope he does it as the personification of Randy Quaid in Christmas Vacation, only ****faced. He can participate in the shootout relay with his pants around his ankles.

You guys take the allstar game way too seriously.

Remember when Khristich was an allstar? Good times...
